Any Rennlisters from New Zealand?
Today's run was awesome. Early, little traffic with the burble/roar of 3 flat 6s. These 993s sound awesome. I'd forgotten how nice the Queenstown to Glenorchy road is. Superb driving + views
Great company too.
Great company too.
Big smile on my face chasing that RS60 to GY. Thanks for visiting.
From left to right: RS60 - Doug (O2GO, rugged up trying to be tough driving with the roof down), Gary (Ponto) 993 Targa, Watt 991 GT3 (met us at the saddle on our way home - we didn't get the message to him on time to join us for the run), Steve (Spokes) 993 coupe and tour guide.
Needed to be wife friendly so she's a tip.
Had the 930 out for a run to Thames via Miranda, alot slower/more work, no comparison smile wise. Need to learn how to drive the 930 properly though, I'm very cautious.

-fast out
-never lift
get 5 speed asap, bigger intercoolers, change cams etc etc
that glenorchy road was a brilliant Targa stage last year. fast and dramatic backdrop with more elevation change than you expect. Bet you enjoyed the fun. looks like good weather too for open top Dougie. We were chasing a gtr on that stage from 1min back and hauled him in.
Yes it is so nice. I was codriver on the Targa so nice to drive it again myself. Last time was in the 964. Top down was pretty cool but jacket, scarf and hat sorts that. Great audio experience with sports exhaust opened, top down and keeping the revs up. Loving the handling of the RS60 in a stage like that with the sports suspension on. Firm and planted. Want to go do it again.
I was looking into ducktails as I had read there were several versions and went down the rabbit hole of factory wing options. Appears to be some disagreement on what came out when but the Weissach version is the slimmest looking wing.
Do you know what ducktail options there are? Hard to find that information.
Dave, you appear to be a nose down attitude with the front tyre covered more than the rear. There's no way to achieve that on the 964 and still get an acceptable suspension travel. Does it bump steer at that setting? Paul complained about his setting and Kev let him know that the good Doctor knew what he was doing with standard settings so why change it? I don't think that's the whole truth (look at US SUV height 964s) but has an element of logic to it. I suppose you will find out at HD!
