Good job RedBull, but IMO another stupefying season to come if RB advantage sticks

How will Netflix even spin F1 as interesting

Despite what Toto is saying to the press this year's Mercedes is a completely new car. It will take some time for the team/drivers to find a good setup and draw out performance. I expect them to get it all sorted and be near the front at some point soon.

It will undoubtedly come from the Mercedes camp with the HAM/RUS internal struggle and to a lesser extent, Ferrari drivers.

You can really see how different the RB20 looks than all the other cars.

Good intel in that article.

I signed up for F1TV due to the sale price today. Coverage was good! Some of the interviews, specifically Pat Symonds talking about driver confidence/comfort and the predictability/nervousness of the car, were terrific.

I find it hilarious how people are writing off the season after one day of testing.

We don’t who is sandbagging or who is showing what they’ve got.

The only thing I saw was how twitchy the Ferrari is. We’ve seen that in the past as well and they seem to manage it. I don’t know if the big cage on the car means they’re trying to collect a lot of data, or if they are in big trouble with the aero.

Who will be the dark horse this season? Last year it was Aston Martin. I think McLaren will be the one to take it to RB.

Based on this, RBR still has that distinct straight line speed where the rest of the field is tightly bunched.

Interesting strategy by HAAS to go with a low DF and high DF split with their drivers.

Is F1TV materially better than the ESPN coverage? Gotta make a decision on streaming ESPN+ or F1 TV for 2024/

One cool feature of F1TV is the archives. You can watch old F1 races dating back pretty far. I like to have these on when I work in the shop for ambiance.

Wait, WHAT?? You've never had the pleasure of watching Martin Brundle walk the grid prior to a race and interview Meghan the Stallion?

I have to correct myself and give you some props.

There are rumors that RedBull may go full on "zero sidepods", completely copying Mercedes' failed design. If that happens and it works Toto should fire everyone, and maybe even himself.
