I would have to believe that the biggest winner in all this was George Russell, right? By defacto, he now becomes the leader of the team with their full and undivided focus. I fully expect Max to win the WDC in 2024 and 2025, but given that Toto signed an extension to continue on with Mercedes for 3 more years, coupled with the the reg changes in 2026, that will be the best opportunity for Red Bull to be knocked off the top step.
Speaking of Toto, this had to have been a punch in the gut given he's been LH's biggest supporter, but HAM didn't tell him about the switch until the night before the announcement. Now that there's been a few days to digest all this info, Netflix and the DTS series will have a ton of material with the inter team dynamics within Mercedes and Ferrari.

You can get a free espresso or bottle of water when you visit a Ferrari dealership, but everything else is ridiculously expensive.

Didn't used to be that way. I remember seeing rows of 1980-model two-valve injected cars at the local dealership in 1981 and into 1982, waiting to be sold.
Bought my first Ferrari, a 308 GT4, for not a lot more than $10K, then a Mondial QV for $15K, a 412 and a Mondial t Coupe, the latter pair for less than $37K each.
One of 42 (one for each US dealer), the Mondial t Coupe sold for $40K ADM over $92K list right after Enzo died! Simpler, cheaper times.

When Enzo died the market went crazy on Ferraris. The merch is about 50% of revenue every year. Though Porsche had that short run that they made more on currency than cars.
