That sort of targeted execution in a limited passing or wide variation in car/driver performance session is a great way to generate that sort of potential yardstick. Review of the video optimal lap would be illuminating, as it would show you what the best execution actually is. Then, the goal is to do more of it.
Finally, string all those best pieces together.

Yeah. I’ll be reviewing it all in a lot more detail over the next few weeks and exploring
how to use all the features now that I’ve got actual data to look at. It’s one thing to read about it here but another in practice to try to remember where all the neat stuff is.
And hey… I’m theoretically even faster today!! Now closer to 1:28 than 1:30.

Hi Peter,
Doing the initialization of Catalyst. The screen says, cannot recognize camera. Also screen icon shows no onboard power supplied.
I installed the hardwired power cable. There is power to the Garmin mounting ball bracket. Power at the fuse holder.
Do not have cigarette lighter adapter at track.
I used the long cable from the camera to the mounting ball bracket.
Need help?

Tom, just left a VM. If the screen icon shows no external power, that needs to be fixed first. If you can, try to find someone with a power bank or phone charger USB wall brick to test the cig lighter adapter CABLE to the mag base and see if that fixes it.
Number one camera initialization issue is low/no voltage/current supply to the device.

Three Wheelin'
I know when I was on grid for the first time with the Garmin I got that “ no camera” message because I would get it all set up on battery.. so I had to sit on grid with the ignition on.. had it all set up put my gloves on and wait with ignition on. So no power to unit=doesn’t see camera..

Make sure they fit well and don't stick out too far for best results. May need to apply tape over them before you don your helmet.

Thanks Peter. I'll give the SkullCandy a try. Generally ear buds just don't stay in my ear. But, after inspecting my helmet, I don't think I could build in speakers into the padding without mangling it.

For anyone still researching... here's a tiny sample of what it's like to drive with the Catalyst. I'm using the OEM stereo for audio and my car is complete stock so the sound is loud and clear. It's a bit garbled in the video but IRL it's clear as day. Right before the turn she says "Next right, apex earlier" and then, after I've presumably done what she wanted, she says "Nice work". That real-time instruction and instant feedback is just plain amazing!
Now I need to project those instructions to the guy in front of me...
