This thread and the ideas of handling Peter's things and Matt and Luigi alone in a trailer is making me very uncomfortable and upset.

If they would have just opened the border and freed our Canadian brethren we could have raced and all handled each other's things next month.
From a social distance of course.

My understanding of the limitations of Garmin Connect and this device are that Garmin Connect collects summary data logs and is uploaded at a 1 Hz refresh rate.
This works perfectly fine for running and biking, but the Catalyst refreshes much more quickly and at a minimum of 10 Hz.

Someone please upload another camera recording a session using this device so we can get a taste of what the coaching sounds like.
Is this coaching per session based? Does it learn from previous sessions that weekend or previous month if you were to return to that track?

I'll try and capture one on Friday @ Sears...

yes it learns from previous sessions, but “forgets“ after four days. Check out Garman catalyst Facebook page where I saw this information from Peter.

None
Lap Times ONLY
Basic Coaching (enabled by default)
Advanced Coaching (requires another waiver acknowledgment).
Most users haven't even changed from the default. For anyone Advanced Solo or above, or club racers, use the Advanced unless it's too much for you.
Also, the most useful tool to me to instill consistency is to go to Session Review>Opportunities>pick a subset of ONE of the THREE opportunities presented and "Enable Voice Coach" to reinforce THAT opportunity.

I also promised to let another driver check out my unit.

Hopefully there will be an update to store that info onto the SD card so its available when you go to that same track next time.

Sounds like this would supplement my Solo DL and SmartyCAM really well for the immediate feedback and quick post session analysis. The theoretical best lap video is awesome. That takes a lot of time to piece together with the AiM data and video. It would be cool if they could overlay the time of day in the theoretical best lap video then you could use those time marks to piece together video from another camera to get sound and in the case of SmartyCAM, data on video.
