Isudar Carplay for PCM 3.1

Updated firmware for PCM3.1
This firmware is for the problem of not being able to adjust the volume well on PCM panel. If your device PCM 3.1 is not this issue, please do not upgrade!!
MCU Firmware for PCM 3.1: Click here to get firmware:https://www.isudar.com/blogs/download/download
(Step: Copy these 3 files "gd_upgrade.bin +mcuupgrade.bin+upgrade.bin" to empty USB-Carplay setting-About version information-MCU update.
1. It can solve the problem of separate sound adjustment between the panel button and the original car control.
2. If there is no original steering wheel control on your car, the problem of panel sound not working can be solved with updating this MCU.

1. There is noise above certain volume level as if you are plugging in a real AUX, like bad cable connection. That's strange since the unit only emulates AUX and there shouldn't be any connection noise. Should I put a plug in the physical aux?
2. Smoother transition between maps voice and the music sound - it ends very abrupt as if lagging. I am sure that's software problem that can be fixed.

That worked fine. However, there are 2 things that if you fix it would become like the OEM unit:

Lower treble in PCM to -6. Then go to the Isudar equalizer and compensate with higher level at those higher frequencies. See if that works. It worked for a few folks here, including me. You can do the same with the bass. By lowering these levels in PCM and compensating in the Isudar equalizer, seems to produce the best sound with minimal or no noise.

Hi Kimi,
By upgrading this MCU, does it mean when adjusting the volumn ****, the normal PCM screen volume will also sync with Isudar volume

@Fantasmos for the AUX issue, we found a work around that seems to be working well. The noise in AUX seems to be more related to PCM.

Tried that but it didn't work. I have my PCM 3.1 updated to the latest 4.76 version. The static changes pitch when I play with the trebble **** but it remains there just more..bassy which is normal. Unfortunatelly, as far as I have knowledge in electronics that could be due to some statical fluctuations of the current inside the unit or it could be interference from the AC. But in that case that would affect all sources while my CD quality remains flawless, radio is amazing too, only the AUX source procudes low quality sound.
One last thing, do you think it could be the original AUX physical connection causing this? I could try opening the unit and removing it.

I just updated my GT4. It went very smoothly. The volume issue I described earlier is Fixed!!! Thank you so much!

Did the update.
Volume is now synchronized between PCM and Isudar.
Thanks Isudar!
Update was also supposed to fix:
2. If there is no original steering wheel control on your car, the problem of panel sound not working can be solved with updating this MCU.
I do not have steering wheel control.
The update did not fix my problem.
Still do not get notifications/alerts from navigation apps like Waze or Maps.
Any ideas to try?
Using Wired Android Auto exclusively.
Thanks

We sent a couple of emails to Kimi related to this and to determine if Isudar could use a different input. But since we found a workaround solution, we left it alone.
You can now use the Isudar 16-band equalizer to improve the tone, rather than the PCM Bass/Treble.
Glad everything is working out for you now.

The update is working great now on my 981 PCM3.1, without steering wheel volume controls it's great to now have a single volume to control and with the Isudar audio volume set to max, it matches the volume of the builtin PCM functions well.
Thanks for the update @Kimiiii, very happy with it.

The only thing I don’t like is Waze and the way it interrupts the music for alerts. I think it is a Waze issue with the latest carplay because before that it was working fine. Now it switches from alerts only back to on, keeps the music low as if it speaks but it doesn’t. Quick search in the Waze forums show tons of complaints so I guess they will update it at some point.

Hello,
I am about to pull the trigger on the Isudar Carplay kit for my 2014 Panamera. For those that are from Canada, did you pick the Europe or China warehouse? Which one has lower duty fees (if any)? They always have a 10% discount code...wondering if there will be a greater promotion later this month as their Facebook page shows a possible promotion on Nov 26?!
Thanks!
