Just installed this today in my 2015 991 911. I can't get any sound, It took me a couple hours to figure out where the optical cables needed to be but they are now in the correct slot mounted up to the connector attached to the unit. I have no sound no radio either.

any ideas?

my SIRI voice is way lower then the music, is there a way to turn up Siri without turning up the music so I can match it better?

You can go in the settings and adjust each volume level. I set all of them at 20 and it works well for me. The only issue I’ve had is that the volume settings won’t stay were I set them. Haven’t figured it out yet.

yes my bulk connector was not clipped in properly.

I still have the following qs though

how do you get back to carplay if you go into pcm menus? I currently have to plug in my phone to get it to come back to carplay

it wants to work in aux bt. and not aux. so I have to manually move it to aux bt every time and the pcm radio is much louder than the carplay.

Hold Info for PCM -> Carplay, press once Car for Carplay -> PCM

Mobile calls should go through PCM BT, everything else through Carplay. You should set it to Aux, not BT aux to get sound. You can disable the BC Aux from the PCM sound options.

besides the main sound, none of them seam to affect the Siri voice volume. Ill play around with it again.

Siri sound goes through the PCM settings. Ask her to tell you the weather, press Car and adjust the volume to your preference...

Just for some clarification, this will work in my 981 GT4? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002662816135.html

Is the sound better or worse, or the same as the bluetooth connection in PCM 3.1? The volume is way lower on my bluetooth than the radio despite adjusting it as high as it goes. Just want to double check how this would be if I actually installed it.

I've also read something about some people needing additional standoffs to clear some other board in the PCM. How do I know if I'll need additional standoffs or not prior to pulling it out and opening it?

Things I have noticed, sound better using Pandora vs Apple Music. You would think it would be the other way around because I use the free Pandora.

I installed this in my 981 GT4 tonight. No extra standoffs needed.

So far I only have wired CarPlay working, but not wireless. I need to play with it more.

Thanks!

I will have to double check the firmware version after work. It was late last night when I got it installed and back in the car. I have some setting issue though, because my phone would only connect wired, not wirelessly.

Hmm, I am assuming you connected both antenna's correctly ? They are the same....physically.
In the setup you can see pair phone for CP wireless.......does this process initiate ? Make sure BT is discoverable on on you phone. Is this iphone or android ?

If you have a VPN, you need to turn it off.
