It seems they sent me firmware that doesn't change the version again. Am I doing something wrong?

Additionally the first two lines in the version screen don't match any of the recent information, what car is this in?

The video shows my entire update process, but basically:
- Plug in the USB flash drive with nothing but the binary
- Navigate to the "about version" menu
- click update

What problem/issue did Isudar give you an update for?

I'm guessing they changed the way they do their version tracking at some point. My unit is almost 2 years old now. They provided it for the same range issue were talking about here

I'm hopeful that they're going to take this seriously.

So it looks like I may have solved my issue inadvertently, sort of, kind of on purpose... Hah!
I swapped my dash for a 718 dash today, I noticed when I had the glovebox out that one of the antennas was touching the metal frame that the dash attaches to, I figured that alone could be amplifying the signal.
As mentioned previously, I feel my antenna cables are WAY longer than whats pictured, and after watching the iSudar tutorial video, I can confirm they are WAY longer than what is shown there too. I taped them up so they're more about the length of whats in the video, made sure it's not touching any metal back there, and problem appears to be solved thus far...

So you did not apply the update that Isudar provided?

I purchased the Isudar system for my 2016 Cayman GTS a year ago. I was excited to get CarPlay and forward/reverse camera operation with the package. Woo-hoo!
Long story short, it didn't work. Studied the videos and other tutorials out there before attempting the installation. Once I got everything back together I did a test before buttoning everything up. No display.
Scared, I put everything back to stock (thankfully it wasn't damaged) and told myself I would make another attempt sometime down the road.
That was today. Same results.
Having been in there twice, I think I'm done. I'll be looking at other alternatives.

Did you have 'all' connections to the PCM in place before trying it?
