I can't even pull a VAL (OBD or Service) to have a look if there's anything in the ConBox. How they can they rewrite the ConBox before completing successfully the procedure or checking whether Alarm is on...

Im looking to set up PIWIS III for my 2017 991.2 4S and already have a laptop that I want to use. I have a Lenovo Yoga 370 with 8 GB of RAM running Windows 10. Hopefully this will work! I not looking to buy one of the Chinese complete packages as I've heard some have issues with lockdowns, etc. I'm looking to purchase PIWIS III from Belauto but wanted to find out what else I need to make this work - ODB Plug, SSID drive? It would be great if someone could suggest a good place to purchase this stuff as well!

Thanks for your response. I've poured through many of the 110 pages of this thread and I see a lot of suggestions on purchasing a complete Chinese package (PC + all the cables, etc.) but I did not see much if you are building your own solution from scratch if you have your own PC and a list of exactly what is needed. Just looking for some suggestions/help.

Once I get this info I plan to start a new thread for someone building their own system from scratch.

It is Telegram.

Mind you that along the way of setting up your laptop you will have to crack a software, install a virtual machine and remote desk programs… so if you dont feel comfortable installing a software such as Telegram (which is basically same a Whastapp but from mother Russia), it would be a very uncomfortable journey for you. Just to keep that in mind and be open to it.

Thanks! I'm not afraid to install software but on my main Apple computer I try to keep that very clean. I have a Lenovo Yoga 370 that I plan to use for the PIWIS and can load the Telegram app on that device but another member gave me his Rennlist ID so I sent him a PM.
