Just curious, how did your SA react to the news that you wanted your deposit back? Did he ask you why?

You could order a C8 or pick one from the lot with a $10k discount off msrp a year from now. GM will flood the market with these babies and every sports car maker will take notice. McLaren will be especially hurt, but Porsche will be too. If C8 proves in real life to be 3/4 as good as it appears on paper, that is.

Like most things regarding beauty, personal observations are always subjective. Having said that, I think it's a great looking car. I also saw the bare aluminum chassis, which itself is a pretty impressive piece. At under 60k for the base model, if it doesn't have teething issues in it's first year run, it's a great performance value by any reasonable standard of measure. LS mods are also cheap and the recipes for horsepower are already common knowledge. A cam, injectors, exhaust, supercharger and tune could turn this into a serious weapon for relatively little money compared to its target competition. Looking forward to seeing lap times and durability over time, but I think it's pretty exciting and potentially raises the bar for all other manufacturers at that price point... and above.

Cooling issues with the Z06 were the symptom of the real design mistake - going with a supercharger vs. a higher displacement and better tuned NA.
Just my $0.02. When they announced the C7 Z06, saw it pre-release at Daytona, I was pretty disappointed. It just didn't need to be done.

Here's a link to a thread which corroborates my anecdotal experience: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...vs-2015-a.html

My eyes keep seeing NSX.
Will be fun fun to see live and take for a spin. Not sure I’d buy one ... the drive not loooks determine that for me
how obnoxious is it for me to say the worst part of owning one of these will be dealing with Chevy dealers? Seriously.....

With the right spec this thing looks pretty amazing. If the performance delivers, and i am sure it will, GM will sell a zillion of these things. Industry disruptor car imo.

Hard bargain to beat I personally am looking forward to the grand sport version. Z06 will have entirely to much power on the street to have fun with plus it will be a turbo motor. Personal preference of course.
