Tires were a bit hot by lap 15, and I overcooked it, well ****. That said, Goodyear 3R tires are amazing for a street-able tire, they feel like hoosiers.
WOW that’s fast! Nice work

The 'ole 3.8L still has some scoot left in it. Dundon Tune/Headers/Runners certainly help, but honestly, it's the Bilstein Clubsports that are the real star. Still on the OE LSD, car should pick up the pace a little more once the Giken goes in. Had some slight inside wheelspin, and faint clutch slippage in the tight, 2nd gear corners like T5 and Museum, so with a Giken and Sachs clutch kit, should be even better!

What a fun car.

Did a 2:15.7 at Sebring at the club race this past weekend in a 981 Clubsport. Don’t have video for that one unfortunately.

My best lap from Barber on February 19 @ Barber; the weather was perfect. Also an optimal lap against my best. Bottom line, there is definitely a 1:35 in this car on street tires and likely more with the right driver.
981 GT4, 200 cell cats and 91 octane tune, camber -2.9 and -2.4 on GoodYear SC3 (265/35/19 & 285/35/19). Same tires from October & November 2021 events. Gang, these tires have really good grip and wear like iron.

Best and optimal vs best lap @ Barber Feb 2022 Best and optimal vs best lap @ Barber Feb 2022

I think I can finally get on the board with my 982 Cayman S! It's not a GT4, but we don't have a board sadly :-(
2:29.99 at COTA!

I’d really like to see video/data of that and what weight the car was running. That’s the same as the 718 Clubsports did at the GT4 America race last year, and the 981 is ~2 secs slower vs the 718.

Thanks! Mods are SPL lower control arms, Ohlins coilovers, 2qt deep sump oil pan, Hankook RS4s.

I could probably get a better time with different tires, I've ran A052s before and gained about 2 seconds.

I have a new PB at The Ridge in Shelton, WA. To my knowledge this is the fastest time there in a GT4. Pushed hard for a time attack event and won, really happy with the result despite the big mistake near the end of the lap. One day I’ll run a perfect lap…

Edit: Same video with telemetry overlaid:
