Was that the full course? At the PCA Club Race in Oct. only 1 car was under your time in a field of Cup cars, Club Sports, etc.
Yes, full course.

There is another poster a few pages back in this thread that was more than a half-second faster on the same course in a 718 GT4 (with video). I wasn't there to watch the Club Race, nor have I ever raced anywhere. However, I assume dealing with the strategy of racing and traffic is much different than a flying, clean lap without such concerns.

I've done 2:05 on RE71s first weekend there, so I presume on R7s it's possible. Love that track!! Best in texas right now. It's even faster Clockwise.

Didn't see any other laps from Carolina Motorsports Park on this thread, so here's mine from Monday. First time with the GT4 at CMP. GSC3R rubber on day 4, so they are about done.

Finally got under 2:22 at Sebring, just barely. Ran on Cup 2's which did not inspire the confidence that my RE71R's offer, but managed to wrestle a good time. I really want to try Super car 3R's next.

That's great. I'll be watching this video a lot. I'm heading to Sebring in two weeks. Trying out a set of Falken RT660's.

Ugh, jealous. We're going to be in FL in mid-February and I was trying to see if any of the David Murry days had availability but they're all filled up 😭

Such a fun tack, and so much history.

Nice, are you going with Chin? If so, I will be there on Friday the 28th, say hi if your there. Also very interested in your thoughts on the Falkens.

PCA has a two day event there Feb 19-20, that might work for you.

Yep, I'll be there with Chin. Are you doing instructor training? Absolutely will stop and say hello. I have a Chalk GT4 and will be hanging out with three ZL1 !LE's

Just ordered a GT4, so I’ll need a crash course on setup and track prep :-)

Awesome. Rear end probably isn't as planted as what you are used to, but you will need rear toe links to get more then about 1.7 camber in the rear and keep your toe. Need whatever you prefer between camber plates, thrust arms, and control arms in the front to get more then about 2.4 camber and keep the caster somewhat reasonable. Think it could use stiffer springs also. I prefer running 265 tires in the front with 305s in the rear on 9" and 11" wheels. Obviously doesn't have the grunt of an RS, but a lot of fun on track.

^^ Thanks guys.
The best thing about a stock ish GT4 is this thread.
Gives me some motivation to get off the couch and shoot for some lap times!

I’ll be annoying you guys here as soon as I get my pickup date for that car.
Assume another break on at Spa - Bilsterberg - Ring and whatever else I can get to before the local tracks :-)

Will be glad to have you here Trakcar, I'm looking forward to you setting the bar at Sebring!! Conditions were great yesterday and I managed to lower my PB to 2:21.23. Hopefully, you guys are having fun out there in these very cold conditions.
