Sorry Porschezen for the lap 14 incident. I was excited I finally had someone to race with and cooked it in T2. It was totally my fault, and I really didn't want to pass you that way.

I ran alone almost the whole race and there is absolutely no way you can catch 2 cars or more alone at Daytona.

On my Fanatec CSR you have to hold down the "back" button for a few seconds to put it in PC mode for the PC to detect it.

Great race tonight, had a good time battling for 4th/5th.

Yep, great battle Luke. I was keeping an eye on the split to Jim to make sure we didn't fall back into his clutches while we were trading 1st back and forth. You were driving great, with only one very costly mistake. You can see the eagerness in my avatar's eyes when the tire smoke beckoned me.

Ditto!!! You had me sweating bullets man! I started hitting the chicane harder and harder trying to keep ahead of you so you wouldn't get the draft and kept wondering if I was going to get a "You cut the course, you're gonna have to slow down...."

Though after beating me at Parade a couple years ago on my home turf... I had to avenge my honor...

Well that start kind of stunk for me, so how do you tell what damage you might have? There was someone saying there splitter was damaged. Can you survice a role over without having to go back to pits? As I figured I had to get a tow, and waited the ~3min, but it looked some other guys that were in the pits got out fast? It didn't tell me that I needed any repairs. Just a little frustrating. Overall pretty good race.

David I'm running Win 7 Pro 64 and it recognized my GT3rs wheel from Fanatec without anything special, I didn't even load the driver. If you want you could bring it to my place and plug it into my system so make sure its nothing to do with the wheel.

Hi All,

Private message to Phil, Public apology to all. Even i didn't imagine this would happen on the start. I'm still too uncomfortable in traffic to race. If you guys don't mind i will still join you for the practice sessions but sit Wednesday nights out, at least for a while.

Thanks,
george

George. Keep coming! I will run with you in traffic situations at Sebring to get you some practice. Honestly. I just did some lead-follow with Carlos and it worked great.

Like a lion stalking it's prey, or a hungry early morning Canadian traveler spotting a horton's, Justin pounces on this moment of weakness.

Lol, seriously though, awesome battle. Probably would have came down to whoever had the draft on the final lap if I hadn't lit up the rears there coming out of 2.

I was trying to run you down, but just couldn't quite get close enough for a good draft...great driving! I was doing the same thing in the chicane, kept wondering "I dropped 2 tenths there, why the heck aren't I catching him?" On that final lap, I went all-or-nothing and ended up with that lovely "Slow Down" message.

And touche', I guess we'll call it even now

Ok hopefully this works - here's my copy of the replay:

And Gator had some good ideas about posting videos of some hotlaps for the following week's race for the newer folks.

I'll see what I have saved for Sebring laps.

George, I don't think it was you that tagged me, but this is just for fun anyway. But like anything in the heat of the moment it's typically different.

The 04 lap I had during that practice is ugly. I will stich something better together for a video. I did some lead-follow with carlos which he said was helpful. I think 03-04 will be mid-field at Sebring this week.

Well... that was embarrassing! I promise to practice more than an hour on the next track. I hope I didn't mess up anyone's fast lap during practice. One time I completely missed T1 and continued straight on the oval course... then unknowingly, I decided to turn around where the infield connected back to the oval. Everyone missed me but I'm sure I caused some excitement.

I don't think I messed up anyone in the race because I sat in the pits all but a couple laps.
