And get this . . . we’re considering getting a [gag] minivan. 🤮 We’re getting serious with dog competitions and need a low-floor, high cubic volume vehicle for transporting dog and equipment. You ought to see the parking lots at dog competitions — full of minivans with no rear seats and packed with dog crates. All the cool kids (in that world) drive minivans!

I hear you. My wife likes her RX350 more than her Cayenne because it is simpler to operate. And she doesn’t have to worry about parking lot dings or getting it dirty because a brand new, loaded RX350 is one third the cost of a new Cayenne Turbo.

^^^ Not a big EV fan. But a minivan with a supercharged V8 that runs a sub 8-second quarter mile? Now, we’re talking! Alas, I’ll probably get a boring Honda Odyssey. Besides, I have to take it easy with our dog in the back.

Charger arrived today. Right now it's on level 2. Hopefully I'll know if it's holding charge by morning. Have an appointment at the dealership but not until late July....
If it dies again I'll just have them tow it in.

Double check that is still charging after 30 minutes or so. Sometimes, depending on how it was connected, it will stop charging. If it is still charging after 30 minutes, it should stay connected.

Something weird is going on with these lithium batteries, and I hope someone will come up with a conversion kit as this is really a cause of concern.
I have a 2019 base with the original lithium battery still in, had the battery light come on 6 months ago and the dealer updated the software and they said it's just a glitch your battery is fine.
now and since about a month I had the light come on again, with no noticeable changes in how the car starts or drive, with the voltage while car running in the 13.2 - 13.4 range. and now suddenly since a couple of days ago the voltage would not go below 14.7 while the car is running, what caused it to change?
I am not sure how to calculate the batteries health, is it too late to get a charger and charge it overnight? do you think that will help?

What does the voltmeter read when the engine is switched off? (Wait at least 4 hours after driving or charging for a more accurate reading). A reading of 13.0 - 13.2 volts would be about normal for a 4 year old battery. My 2019 battery typically reads 13.1V. If down below say, 12.8 volts, the battery may be failing.
To rule out a faulty charging system, you may wish to charge it overnight with a CTEK Lithium charger.

That is not normal. The high voltage suggests the alternator is sensing a low battery and attempting to pump a lot of juice into the battery to charge it. If one or more cells are failing, no amount of charging will fully charge the battery.

I’ll probably get that charger and hope it’ll fix it.

Cost of the Cayenne 2019 Lithium Battery
The battery is not available on the open market and must be purchased from Porsche. It costs just over $2500 to replace and install. Shocking.

Track Day
I had to replace the battery (under warranty) of my 2019 Cayenne S. It took over a month for my dealer to procure at battery. No car for over 30 days for a battery!

Tell the Sales who sold you the car, let the sales person handles it.

I have been studying these battery labels too. The code I circled in Blue denotes the days, hours, minutes, and seconds past warranty that your $3,200 battery dies.

Update on the wife's 22 GTS with the LiPO4 POS. After road side assistance jumped the car in our garage I drove around for a bit. Then next day I put it on the Ctek/Porsche charger overnight. In the morning it was charged. I bought a portable jump pack just in case and have been driving it around every day for the last week. Today I put the car back on the charger and it was down to the second light on the charger, meaning less than 90% charge. Is this normal for a car that is driven every day?
