So guys...getting a 2016 GTS in the next few days if the PPI checks out today. That being said, first order of business is changing out TC fluid and adding the ford friction modifier, correct?
Thanks guys.

So in doing a ton of reading, it seems if you currently have no slippage/clunk/whatever issue...nothing detectable...and from this point forward you keep the fluid refreshed annually, the best guess right now is that you likely will not experience the transfer case failure which our best guess comes from fluid contamination/decomposition first. Am I summarizing this correctly?

So far 250 miles since transfer case fluid change and still performing well without any issue. My 958.1 was one of the earliest builds. Here is the link to the thread where I reviewed all the options.

I do think TC issues (considering how Porsche changed vent line) is related to environment. I have not experienced any problems thus far, but thanks to this thread I changed my fluid. It was burnt black ('11 CS w/ 66k) and I have no doubt the TC would have shown problems before too long.
Replaced with Ravenol and added the Ford friction modifier for good measure. Additionally, I changed front and rear diffs as well. Rear looked good - front one not so much and very happy I changed it. Fluid was dark and it seemed to be a little low. No signs of leaks, but in my past experience, some fluid normally will flow out of fill plugs from the factory and that did not happen.

This is one "club" I really did not want to join!!
My 2017 Cayenne S with 24711 miles has been acting up occasionally with rough acceleration when starting up with the flow of traffic - so not a fast acceleration. Was in the dealer for state inspection and they confirmed a TC problem and now a replacement TC is on order.....

welp, the friction modifier helped for a few days, but now its actually acting worse. I'd guess my friction disks are just plumb worn out.
Ordered my parts from awd.tech and will rebuild the case when all the parts come in.
