in recent times I have become familiar with the piwis2 and some retrofits on my cayenne 958 with pcm 4.0. I managed to retrofit the stopwatch with function in the instrument cluster, then I installed LED headlights and added PDLS plus function, and finally I coded the speed limit info.

it is very easy , but front camera on the windshield is required.
First edit vehicle order >>> in principal menù select F7 and after choose “manteniance vehicle data” and go on until you find the option code >>> scroll until you find the item 9Q0 (which means without recognition of road signs) and click on the drop-down menu, you will see that it will be possible to choose alternatively only option 9Q6 (which means with recognition road signs), then go ahead and accept the replacement. With this step you have updated the vehicle order. Then code with the automatic coding function the following control units:
BCM FRONT
GATEWAY
FRONT CAMERA
KOMBI INSTRUMENT
PCM
It is very important to code 5 control units all together.

@cayo yes, I didn't get anywhere with the skins either. I can't remember if the number of skins was dependent on the number of FOBs but whatever the case was I never got any skin other than default to work...
Is possible to encode wireless apple carplay on my car that have wired factory apple carplay?
You can't code it with a coding tool like this, but they sell little adapter boxed that will turn your regular Carplay into a wireless Carplay. Do a google search for wireless carplay adapter and look at the results to see what is available.

i am not sure , but it could be a pcm firmaware update to a newer version which allow to change skin via encoding.

My first Cayenne coding question. I've a decade's familiarity with the Ross-Tech software for VAG cars, but the Cayenne is different enough to warrant asking the subject matter experts
I've received my iCarsoft POR v3 this morning, and attached to the car, checking for various things. I did find a few odd codes that I cleared after saving them, but one code is reappearing even after clearing:
I will be replacing the rear hatch locking mechanism in the next week or two whenever it arrives, and I wonder if the error state of the current mechanism may be a cause of the error code.
Would anyone here have anything to add?
