hello you can attach the link of the site that produces the porsche-code, because I need the 16-digit one for the Chrono watch by putting my VIN
thank you
Sorry but what exactly does this site do? Provide you with the code that you then look up in PIWIS and change so you don't have to guess as to whether it's in DME, Kombi or BCM1?

I've never even seen it before today, but I think they generate the codes you would need to "enable" some features that would normally have to come from Porsche at a much higher price.

I used a place in Russia, my Sport Chrono was $50, this place wants $100
OK can you please explain? You bought the hardware and you asked them that you wanted to enable that function. So they gave you the code and in what module to enable this in PIWIS?

Like you want the speedo in red and they will tell you what to enable in Kombi (and other modules perhaps) and write to make the change? Red Speedo
Yes, after all the dealer (who doesn't have access to Engineering mode and only V mode) can only program using PIWIS. Yes some items like KESSEY and others require the car to be connected via PIWIS to the mother ship. But other than that I don't understand how the dealer would code anything other than via PIWIS. As you state, the hardware has to be there. I can't enable fog lights if the car doesn't have any of course.
The code may also need to be changed in several modules (meaning Kombi and DME for example)
Off the top of my head on the 992 I've modded: overtaking blinkers, seat belt, speedo, power steering plus, rear lights on with DRLs, AM band (alas no antenna)...
Here is an example of enabling the rear lights with the DRLs. As you can see all the DRLs here in module BCM1 are not active. Change from the highlighted one through drl_at_sl to enable, save and write and voila.
I am totally confounded, WHY would you pay for a code??????????????? Just buy a copy of PIWIS and look for the codes... sorry I just don't get it

Certain features need a hexadecimal activation code which can be purchased through the dealership and they will probably want to charge you a fortune for this activation and use their computer to enter it. This is typically done when you purchase the option through a dealer, like a different type of steering wheel. They would charge you for the part + labor + activation. Or you can buy one second hand and use a different computer like X431 to put in an activation code purchased through secondary sources.
Other features just require changing settings or "coding" using a computer like this or PIWIS.
So if you didn't order the red tach for example, there's a hex code that needs to be entered to enable a change in wavelength even if you don't have the red face? I changed a number of likely places like blaetterzifferen but no difference. Since they're LEDs, I'm sure it's just a wavelength change illuminating behind the red face.
That's a strange one. I would think a different gauge cluster is plug and play except changing the miles, which I've heard you can only increase, never decrease, for obvious reasons. There's only a handful of features to input activation code when I did the steering wheel change on my 2011 CS.
Yes, I've been trying different codes relating to this but nothing. I didn't order it on mine because on my wife's 2020 Macan S I did and it's terrible. It's a white LED shining behind the red face which comes out pink (basic physics here folks...). But I took the sport chrono apart and saw that there were just tiny LEDs and as such it would stand to reason that changing the wavelength would actually provide the desired color. I was also looking for a way to change the DRL color for the front (colored saran wrap would probably work). I'm pretty sure since that's not a dealer option there's no hex code, but in case anyone has succeeded in changing the color to (green, yellow, red) please post!
