Has anyone came across this setting yet?

Close an open tailgate via pressing (& holding?) the lock button on a key fob?
(video for example)

I have confirmed this is NOT a normal feature for 2013 to 2018 Cayenne's.

That might be a hardware mod... I tried something like that from AliExpress but it caused the remote range to drop so badly that I pulled it back out.

I haven't seen anything in the x431 device yet, but I'm just getting started, so I'll keep my eyes peeled.

Yep, the module "worked" but introduced a fair bit of instability in how the security system recognized the key. It would randomly think the key wasn't present (the yellow alert would pop up). I took it back out. It would have been more money to send it back than my time is worth.

I suspect it might work if you have a Cayenne that doesn't have keyless entry/ignition.

I've done all of those tricks except for the trunk. I found the trunk settings, but for some reason it wouldn't write the code. I sent a bug report to launch about it. I wonder what coding device the guy in the video is using? What year his car is?

Has anyone found a setting on the x431 to set a default volume on startup for the PCM? That way if you left it really high when you shut off the car is won't scare the crap out of you when you start it again.

I iust got back in the car again and it’s re-enabled though. There must be another mapping for it deeper in the dme that flips it back on whenever the car is restarted.

I’ll keep digging.
Under Instrument Cluster I found a setting named "Extended codings-Extended codings - bytes 29+30- Reset start-stop after every ignition cycle" but I don't have that feature so I can't test... But this sounds like it might be a missing piece to get this to work.

I opened up the launch just now to see if any updates were available and sure enough, there is a new Porsche update.
And.... All of my bug/feedback reports are gone. It has me wondering if they have fixed the bugs.

Unfortunately, my wife has the CTT right now or I would run out and check.

Just to let you guys know. About a month ago I submitted 3 or 4 bug/feedback reports. Then about 2 weeks ago I checked for updates and their weren't any, but all but one of my bug reports were gone.

Have any of you guys submitted bug reports? If so did they disappear out of your history?

based on the taillights, looks like a 2015-2018 model (& based on its color and options (seats) I doubt that’s a mod)
I came across a hardware module from China (I’ll dig up the link) I think you add to the trunk?
i was a little iffy about that and me thinks if someone figured out a hardware mod for profit to there must be a code somewhere.
my fingers are crossed I pick up this coding device for Christmas. Maybe there will be a good Black Friday or post Christmas sale. 😁

germans and their crazy “features” I really would like to talk to these engineers someday but I’m sure something would get lost in translation as I take a drink from my extra large coffee 🙃

Hi all,

I am looking for a diagnostic tool that will reset the service interval. Will X431+ do that for 2016 Cayenne Diesel and 2016 GT4?
