Way better than having to drive around for 20 minutes until the oil level bars showed up, add a half of a quart, drive 20 minutes again (because when you open the hood your locked out of the oil level) add another half quart. Repeat. That is a great feature.

Point being, that it does more than coding.
I was looking for this and couldn't find it. I know PIWIS has this for sure. Also, I'm up on my oil requirement.

I wonder if it the same procedure as the piwis. It instructs you to start the car, once the oil hits 190° the count down begins. 90 seconds I believe. If the oil stays 190° or above during the 90 seconds, the test will complete and it tells you exactly how much to add. 200% (go figure) is full. And that puts you at the top of the max bar on the multi function display. My CTT took 11 qts exactly , that's with the filter change.

The iCarScan X431 has it. I forget where it is in the menu structure. It does come in very handy when changing the oil.

I have a PIWIS2 and a Launch x431V+, and the Launch does everything the PIWIS does, and more (since I can't get the PIWIS into engineering mode). It just has different dialog language, but otherwise I've found all of the PIWIS functions are there in the Launch.

Same as the iCarScan.. at least the early version. I think the most recent version tells you in liters how low you are on oil. My CTT takes ~10 liters with a filter change. I can't recall ever putting more than 10 L in.

Yes, even with an overnight drain, I only get 10qts/9.5 liters in.

Dealer, drive a Macan for the day, play with its radio and all the neat buttons.
Return the Macan, CTT is full
No coding required
YMMV

Something like that. Never more than 10L. I usually put in 9L to start, and then top it off once I get a level reading. Sometimes I use the tool, sometimes I just use the dash. It's not going to explode on 9L.

Default Service interval issue after coding

Hi everyone,

in my service menu, I am having a double entry for oil change, first one is every 15k km, or every 365 daysthe second one is every 30k km or every 730 days. First one is for oil change, what about the second one, anyone is aware of the purpose of the last one ? I am not sure if this is related to coding in the instrument cluster module.

total of entries in the service interval is 4,
major service
intermediate service
oil change 15k
oil change 30k

cheers,

Hello
New member from cold Sweden :-)
Car in Question is Cayenne GTS 2017
Does anyone know if its possible to code the Petrol parking heater to heat the engine too ?
As it is from factory its only heating the inside of the car not the engine..
I know its possible with the VW Tuoareg so it should be basically the same or not??

Thanks

Hello from very cold Alaska. I've got a 2008 V8 Touareg and recently sold a 2008 V6 Touareg. Even by -56F we didn't plug in our vehicles as VDub warns not to use engine block heaters. As long as you have the right anti-freeze mix you should be fine. Best from 65 North (temp -32C)

there are definitely coding options on how the aux heater behaves. you would need to test it on the car to see which option does what in real life...

I don't have a 2017 Cayenne around, so I can't test it..
