Amazing buy at that price.

I agree it was a great buy....IF you love the interior. I think the Cocoa with the Makassar wood, especially, the amount of wood in this car, is a take it or leave it kind of look - and I'd be leaving. This is definitely the most wood I've seen optioned in a 997, and it gives it a men's club look, but it's not super sporty in my eyes....it doesn't really even whisper "supercar", as much as it does Luxo-barge (which it is not). Had that wood been CF or even the standard trim, the price would have gone higher. Had the interior been black, with Adaptive Sport Seats with red stiching & CF the price would have been higher still.

For the right buyer, someone who this interior moves the needle, it was, indeed, a great buy.

As a cab fan, I don't think there's much nicer than this spec. This car is going to bring strong $$: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...-cabriolet-32/

Another soft result, just 37k miles and only made it to $87k.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...urbo-coupe-11/

I specifically remember an instance 2-3 months ago when three silver 6spd Turbos with about 55k miles each sold for somewhere in the low-mid $90s on the same day.

Could it be the combo of no-cats and the suspension mods? Also a 997.1 without the coolant elbows being replaced and 5 previous owners?

It actually sold for the reserve of $90k. BAT will get around $2000 or less for the sale. They will give the seller $3k.

that last auction was a weird one. extended time due to systems issue. didn't look like it was going to even break 90k which is low vs comps even in the current market. seller seems relieved to be keeping it and comments as such, then it sells anyway with BaT picking up the difference. wild.

i don't want to start a color debate but silver has been really common for sale lately in manual 997.1 TT. per supercar sage there are ~720 manual 997.1 TT made for the US market vs ~1500 in black. out of the last 24 cars for auction lately 10 have been silver vs 9 in black. seems a disproportionate number.

on that subject, this one is up on pcarmarket now after failing to hit reserve on BaT. it was RNM at just shy of $90k at 44k miles. hope the seller has lowered his expectations this time.

oof, seller made off even worst on pcarmarket.

$86.5k for a 44k mile GT silver with light mods, clean carfax, and extensive service history. the only knocks i see are no sport chrono and not carb compliant with the aftermarket exhaust.

will be curious to see how this one does:

that interior is way too outlandish, for me.

Not on an auction site. But a 6k-mile Basalt Black 6-speed .2 Turbo. Has PCCB, RS Spyder center lock wheels, and sport bucket seats. They are asking $235k.
