The '07 went for 106k.
The '12 went for 173k.

Somebody stole that '07.

not that there was a flurry of interest but the 07 seller didn't seem very involved. i know DME reports are completely overblown but they are sad reality when selling these cars now. they may have have left money on the table not providing one.

either way 106k for a 12k mile car seems rather low, even for the most popular color. at least seller set a realistic reserve.

No kidding! Far less than I expected.

Meanwhile, the '12 went for close to the sticker on my '11 TTS.

15k miles, sold in 09/21 on BaT for $108k, has had the coolant lines pinned since the last sale - RNM today at $113k
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...urbo-coupe-39/

seller got a little agro in the comments which probably didn't help but the commenter's points were valid and the auction today proved that.

though modified, this looks to be a nice well sorted car. the coolant lines are even pinned! only thing missing is pinned cams. beautiful color. i don't love the techart packages but in this color i am not complaining. $144k sticker and $40k in addons (in 2008 money). wow.

The wheels and body kit are hard to look at. Too bad because otherwise, that would be a really nice car.

I dont hate the tech art body kit or the wheels. But if you are a musuem buyer it certainly is not your car. Not a bad price.
Cheers, Mike

Pretty strong result today for this stock, low mileage manual. GT Silver Metallic with Carrera red interior. wasn't sure how high it would go with so many recent RNM

i was watching that auction and was a little surprised it went as high as it did given the current market. i too feel like that's a strong price compared to recent comps.

it was a nice car and the seller was attentive which helped. good move getting the DME despite being low mileage and probably not relevant - providing one of those is just table stakes when selling one of these cars these days.

for sure, even on a car that has clearly been taken care/hardly driven. Zero mods and all the records. I still didn't think it would get much past $110+ given current market

meanwhile you have an example of how not to run an auction:
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...urbo-coupe-48/

RNM at $67k which is crazy low but this is totally on the seller.

minor damage on the carfax, US car but currently in canada, seller not knowing to step up and say the clear coat had not been removed, not addressing comments about bodywork, and not able to provide a DME.

a scan tool that can give you a DME costs a couple of hundred dollars, there is simply no excuse not to provide one.

Totally agree with all your comments. Add to that 8 owners, no driving videos, carbon package with damage on every carbon piece, etc, etc. Plus, not sure if anyone caught it but the repair records stating pinning of coolant lines and pinned camshafts were NOT even for this car but a different one with 83k miles! Like you said, seller less than responsive, import duty taxes, etc and I can see why RNM.

i caught talk in the comments of the mileage in the service records for the pinning being different and suggesting it was a different car. but if you look at the VIN in the records, it matches the one in the listing. it appears to me the canadian shop was recording mileage in KM which if you do the math, it checks out. again the seller never actually responded to that, just left it as more chaos in a dumpster fire of comments.

beyond that, the service records indicate quite a number of red flags. this page reads like someone having a stroke but if you sift through the mismatched lines, you will see stuff like "Vehicle appears to have" "track use on shoulders" "repainted. painted poorly" "front bumper does not line up to hood or fenders" "scratches".

hard pass.
