I did hear from them and it sounds like the owner decided not to sell or sold it on his own?

How about a 1 of 1 cars? https://www.elferspot.com/en/car/por...aign=Suchagent

I like that car but just FYI its not factory spec. It's like mine owner modified colorway.

The car is great, just not my taste in the color they added, love the cunards too, but not stock for the car.

That's an easy fix. Looks like a great car otherwise.

Speaking of one offs, this is very likely the only Macadamia 997 GT3 produced. Was on the regular color palette for the 997.2 GT3, just basically no one ordered it. Nobody in North America ordered it and the car for sale below is a RoW car in Europe.

Porsche racing green is an amazing color. A shame folks who ordered back then didn’t spec this color.

Reputedly also Ferry Porsche's choice of color.

The build sheet data for this era 997 is a little messy. There were 17 Carrara White Canadian GT3 RS vehicles. 3 have option 511: Contrast - White Gold Metalllic, 5 with option 520: Contrast - Red & 9 without 510, 511 or DZL. The assumption is that Carrara White cars without a specific contrasting color option came with red.

The 3 Canadian Carrara White/White Gold Metallic cars are:

Bright unusual colors weren’t popular at the time. They weren’t in style really and most of the cars that came here were specced out by dealers for inventory. This was during a recession so there wasn’t a long queue of buyers unlike today. Having a car in inventory in an unusual color was a hard sale so dealers would stick to basic or launch colors. White, black, gray, silver, etc. Guards Red has always been an exception as this has been on the color palette for decades and has remained popular.

You’re right. It also didn’t sell particularly well as the launch color for the 997.2 Carrera. Hindsight…

recession or not back then, I am still amazed there were not a lot more (higher quantity) dealer & spec orders in Aqua. Even back when bright colors were not super popular, how could folks not love a blue,.... even during recession "blues", LOL
.... what were they thinking (or not thinking, haha)

that's because green used to be the least desirable color to have on a car, right next to brown. The green fad is a recent development of the past 3-5 years or so. I am not including the bright greens (aka skittle green colors) that have always been somewhat popular, especially for Porsches. Grandma caddy metallic greens were certainly not, hence you don't see them on older cars.

Add to that, it's the British racing color also. Not the best choice on a German car.
