The 1k car was not what it seemed and was certainly not to the caliber of the 5K car.

I don’t know, it was in passing conversation.

I am not being callous, really curious as I have had that thought more than once, saving everything versus splurging now and then….

I am very happy I have experienced and continue to enjoy the GT3 and other great cars from Porsche. My kids and I have bonded going on drives and to shows over the years and it has built memories. Now that my youngest is 16, he is getting more into cars like I always was and that’s been fun.

As for switching up to an RS from a GT3, at todays prices I would have a hard time doing it. I got mine from Mike (through Doug) at the right time and have 20K mikes on it and can’t wait for the snow season to be over.

Good question, and no offense taken. Back then I think I was hanging around with more "ballers" or whatever they are called today, and yeah...it was fun. I did meet a lot of great people and do some amazing things. I know there are Ferrari and Lambo owners here, and don't mean this in an offensive way, but I got a little self-conscious. As to the money...yikes. Me and the wife have no kids, and my business grew. If it weren't for that I would have been more frugal.

ya impulse buyers remorse… I remember when he asked here what the difference between 997s were a week before bidding. That’s ok we make mistakes… $170k is a lot of money to have locked up into something you only ‘kinda’ want
