Perhaps this piece adds too much unsprung weight.

This must be the SW 4.1 Premium Gold addition since SW apparently charged them $40k more than the quote they gave me.

Ive been tracking the DeMan resell values on the GT4 asking myself if I could recover SW in a resell. I concluded its a personal choice and resell should not be considered as the answer is no. So although it would be sweet, the $20k I put into Dundon felt like a good compromise and mostly recoverable. I also know deep down I’m not a good enough driver for the extra HP anyway.

If they get half of that asking price I'll be surprised.

The work that were done to this car are not your ordinary bolt-on parts job. Some serious stuff was done to this car by a renowned shop and the best most expensive package they offer. In some cases a Sharkwerks 4.1 GT3 RS may go for a little more than a comparative stock example. However, I think you would be hard pressed to get a significant fraction of the $100k invested in mods back, let alone double whats invested. Hbi bought this car for $195k at auction last year and had it last advertised at ~$250k before removing the listing earlier this year. I’m pretty positive they pulled the listing to send it off to Sharkwerks to be modified. If this is the case then that was a stupid move that could have severely hurt or ruined their chances of turning a profit.

@vma1788 here is what I had screen shot from another post on here. Assuming this is accurate, it appears 62 US and 4 CAN.

Failed to meet reserve at $241k. Tides in the car market seem to be changing and the not insignificant damage done previously to this particular car I don’t think did it any favors.

We are stepping into a global recession so buckle up Car Dealerships. Nobody wants to buy a car at Pandemic money prices. NOBODY! Well except for the illusive Snaveed. Where is he now?

Maybe these guys are getting what they deserve by artificially inflating the market to line their pockets. Let the auto market crash, I ain't selling!

Yea based on the chatter my guess is they will settle it offline at $250-$260, still also basically a new example for decent price. I hope the new buyer is a "keeper" type as he has been bidding to try and get a deal since June. I remember when I bought my GT3 pre-covid I had so much inventory to choose from I was picky about 1 overrev, a crackling speaker and a few swirls... lol the market is still a long way from earth.

I'm not a doom and gloom person, actually the opposite but I have no qualms about dealers getting burnt especially those who manipulated the market (they take the good and they should suffer the bad). Lots of folks especially the 992 gt3 crowd thinks gt's will continue to moon in perpetuity and that this is the new normal, I think not IMHO.

Oh I’m not knocking Sharkwerks at all. I would pay money to have Sharkwerks build my car out. I’m just saying the people who pay an absolute premium for these vehicles usually pay for an ‘as close to stock’, non modified vehicle.

When I see a car like this, I think of the GT Silver 997.1 Sharkwerks 3.9 that sold back in 11/2020 or whatever it was, for what I thought was a very low price. Granted, much has changed in the car market since, but for $110k or whatever that car sold for, that’s a steal.

I remember this car. I briefly looked into this car when it was at Toy Barn in January. It was priced at $140k at the time.

I have a few friends who own dealerships... getting PPP loans and then posting record earnings for 2 years... they don't have much to complain about
