@Ikon I'm with you 100% there. I'm all for pointing out defects which the seller tried to hide or which may not be obvious to the casual bidder. However, it seemed like the opposite was going on here, where the seller was showing flaws, and was being criticized for doing so.

Glen, I'm not throwing shade at the seller or his car. I'm just putting myself in the shoes of a seller and if I'm selling a car, you better believe, it's going to be in the most perfect condition I can make it. Why leave money on the table, especially with a BAT auction. You know I'm just saying this to keep the market high for Pumpkins

yea it’s a tough one…I get where the seller was going by not doing anything including leaving the scraped up splitter. However if he had replaced that front lip, resprayed and blended the underside of the bumper “with”proper prep not a single person would have made a comment… it’s not like anyone paint meters under there. But for some that just sounds like a pain in the *** for an extra 5-$10k resell on a $250k< car… the mileage is prob past perfect collector grade so I’m guessing most of buyers will look past it.
During removal.(?)
I know heat is used at appliqué. But, steam and heat at removal. Right?
Also, the pan on Pumpkin, looks like after market paint. Adhesion issues look like that over ABS.
IIRC, Porsche used the right primer (you have to use acid etched primer over aluminums and ABS's etc etc as the substrate expands and contracts alot more than the skin metal).

I think most of the time, a value hit is taken due to repaint on a metal surface, but most don't seem to care about bumpers, although on a super minty low mileage example I'm guessing people would prefer all original. My concern with a repaint on a front bumper is that most of us want PPF on them and when it comes time to remove that there's a great chance of pulling paint on a repainted panel than on factory paint.

Not that it matters on my car since both front and back have been refreshed but I was contemplating if a Euro non-NA spec rear bumper might actually affect resell.

I don't think it will affect it at all. Kevin Upscale had one on his Silver GT3 and when I was looking to pick up that car, it was a plus in my book.

Yea I think I'll add it to my list, I'm almost done bringing the car back to new so I'm unfortunately thinking of things I probably don't "need" like red center locks and euro bumper lol... the caliper refresh starts this weekend and thats the final check box before i put surface transforms on.

You guys post this $179k red already?
This has a similar spec to the BAT car, I do like the PCCB on red, also same price but not nearly the same miles.
