I was just implying that before anyone says something positive or negative about that Gray/Black 2RS, they need to fully vet the car and get the facts. So much hearsay, even by me, that the only person who's going to actually know if the car is a good deal or not, is the person who does his homework, and not any of us internet keyboard warriors. Whoever does it, please keep us informed.

I mean I'm the perfect example of keeping your eyes open... $15k transmission job a few days after getting it. IMO the RS has a lot more room for mechanical tweaks than the regular gt3 assuming the $$ stuff is straight and the engine is good. But I am the odd one that thinks tearing into something so I can make it 'better' than new is part of the fun.

When I bought mine the guy said "Its fine... its an RS anyone that knows how to drive doesn't use first gear anyway" LOL

Check out this 997.2 3RS with a 4.4 L Manthey Racing motor. If only it was in the USA.

Driving and walk around video of this car on YouTube. Tell-tale sign that this car will be up on BAT soon as this seller is very active on there.

What a d*ckwad. You might think that when you get up there in $$$ people may be more honest.

When I was 18 I bought a 1957 Morris Minor cuz I thought it was cute. Too much weed on my part. The seller was an old man, probably is his 70's, and knew exactly what was up but told me the grinding was "a shifter adjustment"

The other thing that was impossible for PPI to see without looking for it was that the weld on the header was cracked. I ended up selling the headers into those cat recycling companies for $600.

7k-mile white/red .2 RS on BAT. PCCB, FAL, and full leather. Mods include pinned coolant lines, a GMG roll bar w/harnesses, and a GMG exhaust (original included) to name but a few. Carfax notes an accident from a collision with a deer requiring a replacement front bumper cover, right fender, headlights, and radiator. Also there is a strange noice in the driving video when the exhaust value opens at 4k-5k rpm. IDK if this exhaust is supposed to make the car sound this way or something?

Current BAT listing:
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...911-gt3-rs-16/

When previously sold in 2017 to the current owner @ ~5k miles:

VIN: WP0AC2A93AS783793

Plus, 41k miles, so you know . . . basically a trash heap suitable only for a SW motor build at this point.

MCS are only a year old, calipers re-powdered… that’s $6k refresh there. Odd they don’t mention the exhaust in the listing.. . cant remember if that looks stock or not. It’s a good spec I think really the only thing working against besides obvious mileage/track time is the ceramic rotors are long gone.

I have 33k miles and mine is like brand new, even had it scoped for scoring… these are cars will outlast 90% of the buyers that own them… and in that cars case that’s 11 lol.

I saw this comment on BaT and was just like…yeah rip the perfectly good motor apart and drop $70k on a SW build for no reason lol.

De-tinting the tail lights and getting rid of the tow hook would go a long way on a sale like this imo.

I agree, people are funny and most of the times drop comments without any backing or knowledge. Lol.

I feel like you'd be hard pressed to find a non tracked 991 GT3 but yet 997 people think it basically totals a car. Kind of wild.

totally untrue - my at the time 997.1 gt3 I tracked the crap out of - power slid it all the way up the hill at laguna in fact / ran it in run group with cups frequently

these cars were cheapest track ready sports car for years

most of the them were flogged hard
