Thanks for sharing Dan. $155k seems a bit steep, but hope he’s able to have an easy transaction. It’d be nice if it was $155k with the GT2 buckets which have $8-10k of value and the E88’s which probably have $5k worth of value.

spot on. Plus there is tfx broker fees and likely 2.5% duty.

What’s the consensus on price for a car with the following?

After a year and a half with my 997.2 GT3, I left a deposit on a GT3 touring this morning.
It’s perfect spec and the deal was too good to not. I’ve got 3 days to decide if I want to get rid of the 997.

Quick details:

50,1xx miles (I've put 25k miles on it myself)
White
RoW Buckets (coded)
FAL (Techart)
RS 4.0 clutch/ LWFW
SharkWerks pipes & pinned lines
SharkWerks vario-cam bulletproof
SharkWerks bypass
Sport steering wheel (comes with stock)
Stock wheels on Cup2s
some extras here and there but all the main things are assessed.

OE Options:
Full leather
Painted center console
“Porsche” alcantara armrest
Adaptive headlights
Steel brakes

Had PPF most it’s life, doesn’t have it now.
No body or paint work

Spent over $20k+ in the last year alone making sure this car is absolutely bulletproof.
Documentation and receipts all itemized from delivery. Oil changed every 5k etc etc.
Car needs absolutely nothing and drives flawlessly.

I put 25k on it in the last year and 6 months alone. Car still shows like a 20k mile car.

I really love that you drove the car like it was a daily civic! Are you getting a 991 or 992?

Funny thing is, I walk to work and I have a daily. It’s just such a fun car to take driving or on road trips…which I do a lot of clearly lol.

991.2! The 992 is a bit too large for me.
Like I said, I have a few days to decide so I don’t go on impulse

Always a tough one...like every always says, it depends on who is in the room.

If you start at 150....+3k for mods +5k for leather +10k for the seats +8k for the color -$20k for the miles... $156k?

Who knows these days white goes quick... though the red one on BAT was basically brand new and it sold for $170.

991.2 is awesome in my book and I would switch if I could swing the price delta.

Totally get that. I should say that I have no interest in seeing via an auction website like BAT.
If I do decide to let it go, a RL member will get first crack at it.
Thank you for your insight, guys.

Certainly. It fits my m.o. well. Lots of back roads and road tripping.
No need for my daily anymore either, so the one car to do it all points me in that direction.

If was handy like WonderDan or some others on here, I wouldn't hesitate. I read back through the entire bit of threads on the car's past and it is daunting in some ways, but the car seems like it has a bit of a head start cosmetically now from what it was just a few years ago. I do scratch my head though why this dealer (who tends to be high) would offer anything at what seems like almost bargain basement pricing relative to market (its a full $60-70K below market for a similar mile .2 RS). It sure doesn't LOOK that bad.

Looks can be deceiving. Take for instance that 997.1 pumpkin that's for sale which sold last year on Bat to Snaveed. That car needs a new paint job. It's got so many touchup paint blobs all over it that should have been disclosed on BAT but wasn't. Before judgement is passed on this car as good for the money a full body, paint, interior, engine and suspension inspection is in order.

Could have bore scoring or a rod knock or something that requires a 30k engine rebuild.

Exactly as mentioned in your post and above, there will be some surprises on a car like this for sure. Relative to the GT3 Cup's expenses, these car would be fun to go over and see if it can get back to a respectable/documented car sans its history. Very will to take on the project, but the 997.1 and this 997.2 are good examples of looks can be deceiving. Will post photos if we can get this all wrapped up on the 997.2 and share some of what is going on with it yet (and appears to have been fixed).

How couldn't you tell this upon looking at the car? It would smoke or knock, no? I feel bad for that car and then the next owner, the internet is hurting it more than its history HAHA.

As for the .2 above, I would start at 160 and see what the market dictates. 50k miles isn't insanely high, especially for someone looking to own not "invest".
