ya… taking the transmission back to better than new! Was the same price to ship him my car than to have a local ship drop and ship the transmission (and still 50% cheaper than the dealer)
Since the track is also there I get to go test drive it next week after he’s done before sending it home

Enjoyed reading the latest email from Doug on his GT Vault subscription,...
..... if you haven't seen it yet,.... it's regarding that Grey/Red 2011 GT3RS. We all remember discussing it here as the car that had the HOOD PINS & was a {not-so-well-disguised} track rat...
VIN # WP0AC2A93BS783357
............... Doug tells us that the story continues.....
If you care to read our posts, head back to the Feb 2020 timeframe (page 245 or so)... Post # 3657 & onward ...

and here is the referenced Pcarmarket auction for that car...

it should be getting harder & harder for shady flip wholesalers & dealers to "Bank" on that, given that one quick google search on that VIN (assumingly by someone who is buying as an investment) brings you here
... yet if a unsuspecting buyer does get surprised after their purchase,... we simply hope they are Ok with just driving the snot out of it for the rest of its life (get their money out of it with smiles!!!)

This thread alone is worth $$
we could call the app “Stories”
if I was switchcars what’s what I’d be spending my money on vs revamping the site.

Btw seems like the san luis obispo instantly went back up 20k after your purchase.
Great purchase to add to the collection! I been looking for a while but the fact of having a tandem garage scares me. Always thought I need to have a 3 car garage before seriously considering, but your post encourages me lol. Would love to check out the car If you are ever up for a drive in the bay!

Looks like this this 25k-mile Meteor Grey .2 GT3 is available again. PCCB and full leather. Priced at $161k. Was for sale at Audi Lehi end of last year with the same mileage and price.

the dealer actually didn't disclose A LOT of cosmetic stuff on the car but i bought it sight unseen as i felt like the car was good enough value to offset it. but being a Utah car with salt and stuff, its been in the detailing hospital for a few weeks getting paint correction and new PPF/ceramic, as well as new proper red tail lights instead of the clapped out tinted ones. had horrible half hood peeling PPF. all the interior carbon was in really bad shape except the AC vents where okay. but had to replace the door trim (luckily was able to get this through a friend who works at Porsche factory in the Exclusive Dept.) and ordered a new DB Carbon middle console and ashtray. I'll have her back Monday and I think she'll be one of the cleaner ones around.
