The 997 GT3/RS Cars For Sale Thread...

I can only speak for myself… but your making the right move, as much as I love my GT3 if it was it or good down payment on my vacation home to spend with my kids it would be a no brainer. I bought the home first, so I’m confident you’ll be back into one again some day

The 991.2 was SO much fun! It got hit while parked by a DUI driver while I was out to dinner and was a total loss. I’m gonna get another one to replace it but this time it WILL definitely be Miami Blue (Old one was Lizard). When the lizard was lost I was looking to add a 997.2 grey black to scratch my manual, analog itch but got side tracked dealing with the 991.2 loss. I received so much great info here late last year when I was asking about what people’s opinion were on the 7.2 RS. I definitely can’t wait to get an RS (or 2 back in my life!
Im happy you were not in the car at the time and no one injured. Also, I can infer you had a great meal with the Mrs. That’s really all that matters. Spending time with ones you cherish and love.
I suspect whilst parked along a thoroughfare? If so, that’s unfortunate. My Wife and I witnessed a lady in a classic 280 rear end a parked car in Santa Barbara. Middle of the day with no medical issues. Sad event for the SUV and couple that came out of a local bakery…. We have vowed to not park alongside busy streets and try parking lots for that reason. Almost as if we saw it as an example.
I hope you get the RS you want. Unfortunate time to be in a loss and looking nearly at the same time for a replacement.
Continue to keep the chin-up!

Just because an ad is lacking doesn’t mean there is anything wrong with the car. It is a 1 car owner; you don’t see that often. Best thing to do is if interested, reach out to the owner and request more info. Maybe this is his way to avoid getting spammed by a ton of people. Create a bad ad and only people that are really serious will inquire. Just my two cents.
I wish ads with minimal info did keep the kickers at bay. But as one that has listed vehicles on multiple platforms, it does quite the opposite. That was back in my early 20’s. Lessened learned. Now that I’m a bit older, I realized that an add that is descriptive and answer the top 5-10 questions in that ad attracts those mostly/wholly interested.

Great build. One owner for 14 years who by his own admittance is too old to drive it much anymore, and from 2013 to now has driven only 1700 miles. Somebody should call on it. Always do your due diligence.
I get what Raudi Driver means. It was a similar situation to the silver .2 I bought. I didn't even have any real pictures of it when I bought it. At least not the whole car. Seller was older, had no interest in answering a lot of questions from the several people I sent to him. I had a gut feeling and went for it. This red car could be similar, or could not. If I was looking for a .1 I'd be checking it out pronto because Grand Prix and others are doing it as we speak I'll bet. It will get flipped if he negotiated even a little.
I agree with Sword any time I sell a car I tell every little detail. I also make the price firm no offers. Period. If it doesn't sell in a few weeks drop it a smidge. Saves a lot of bandwidth.

I really hope somebody here snags this car. A one owner, well specced, sub 15k mile 997 GT3 for below MSRP is a thing of the past.

Why don’t you two ladies take it outside and hit each other with your purses. If you want to bitch each other take it to private message. Your ruining the thread and no one cares.

such a bummer man! glad you are okay and safe! 991.2 RS is great! but it's not as involved as 7.2 RS. Good to have both!!! I think 992 GT3 w/Manual is going to be a a special car that will mix involvement with modern speed, etc. Did you see the black/grey RS for sale at McLaren in Chicago? https://www.mclarenchicago.com/vehic...il-id-42869420
I just snagged a similar car and am waiting for my 992 GT3. Might snag a 991.2 GT3 w/Manual in while i wait if pricing comes down. Or even a 997.1 GT3 or RS just to spread the miles around.

You are right, it's a very bad time to be in the market to replace her. Patients is key I suppose. 👍🏻

This one was up for auction on BAT last November, but didn’t sell. According to Gooding’s photos, the car has traveled only 5 miles since the BAT auction. Car originally had Orange graphics and accents (I think it looks better in its current spec) plus the PCCB’s were dealer installed. Clean DME according to the BAT listing.
