I've got a friend of mine selling a 13800 mile, clean DME (only a few stage 2), no paintwork, fresh service black with orange accent 07 gt3rs' with ceramics and a fat window for 173 asking if anyone is interested. V clean car, has front PPF and I think ppt on rear quarters as well. Happy to connect you to them.

Those two statements are not supportive of each other. 13mils on one panel is not major paintwork.

Even though I haven't driven one, the problem I have with RS 4.0 is that there is no way that it's 2.5 times better to drive than a 3.8 or even 3.6 RS. This implies that almost all of its premium is a collector's premium. It only makes sense to buy it as a collector item which is why 95% of them are extremely low mile examples.

Ya, I have to agree with you here. The more you drive these, the less valuable they are. Building up a 3.6 RS into a 3.9 or 4.0 will cost $50-$60K, and will likely hold half the build up cost. This will give you more than 90% of the 4.0 thrill at less than 1/2 the overall current cost. Seems like a great deal once miles on the dot 1 RS's become less important. My .02

Someone on BaT asked about track time...
https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...l#post14370198
"My father and I purchased the car from Paul Miller Porsche in NJ (Where I worked as a salesman at the time) and took it to a ton of PCA Driver Ed events at Watkins Glen, Pocono, VIR, NJMP and more."

DME report looks relatively clean given the track time. Must have been good heel&toe shifters.

Mooty is probably the person to ask given the number of GT3’s he’s owned and driven. Or Jrtaylor9, I think.

When I had a C2S, I never thought the GT3 premium would be worth it. $40k more for the same car, I thought. Then I drove one. But, It’s a completely different engine, trans, etc. To me, GT3 is literally 2x the car. I know it sounds crazy.

997 GT3 to RS is maybe a 10-15% increase in driver enjoyment? Max. 997.2 RS to 997 4.0 has to be a like 5%. But I think there’s a point where if you want the best and can afford the best, that’s what you buy. Keep in mind, I’ve never driven a 997 RS, that’s why I’m guessing how much better it actually is.

To have a GT3 is a pretty amazing thing. No matter which one you have, you’re lucky.

That's some mellow track driving. That car was not beat on at all.

Interesting on that one as I posted about it last year. Post 5244.

Wonder if it ever transacted or if someone just sold it back to them. We’ll have to check the CarFax once It’s made available.
