Yes. With the Green, you also pay for exclusively because it is the second rarest color for the .1 RS behind Arctic Silver. But Orange ones are getting closer.

Thanks Greg, Since I bought mine I've been having fun watching the back and forth on which GT cars are great. I always saw Kermits outpacing all others by quite a margin. It feels to me that the other colors are catching up. I do realize the Pumpkins are the least rare, but Wow, how beautiful they are and how incredible they are to photograph. The various looks and angles are easy to capture. Again, glad to see they are getting their due love now. Truly spectacular cars to look at and drive, especially when fettled properly.

BTW, I'll be out your way next week. Are you in town? I'll bring the deck lid for your perusal if you like.

CheeRS,
Chris

The seats in the car add $10-12K, Maybe that'll make the diff?

Retail on GT2 seats is around $12k. You can find used sets for $8k or less. Seller would have been better off selling the seats separately, I think, to maximize profit. Someone is going to buy that car for being in great condition, or at least it appears so, and the low mileage. I think the seats may be an additional benefit to someone buying, maybe would add $5k in value, but not much more over if it just came with the stock sport seats.

I had these folding carbon fiber seats in my 2011 Spyder, and they were comfortable, but no where near as comfy and sport purpose as the 996 Perlon Clubsport buckets. The Perlons are very comfortable and holds you in place very well. I've seen these carbon fiber folding sport seats go for $12K on the open market. They are beautiful...

Okay so here's what happened: After thinking about it I passed on the 997.1 that I got the PPI on. It's a nice car, but not quite what I wanted. I wanted something as close to in the wrapper as possible. Not that it will be a garage queen...I used to drive Fcars and tracked all of them back in the day, but if there's going to be damage I want it to be caused by me.

I just looked at the 2010 white GT3 w/ 13k miles that came from Springhausen mentioned earlier in this thread and linked below. The seller bought it though his heart was set on an RS but couldn't find one he liked. A week after the car arrived he found an RS w/ 3k miles and bought it.

He stated the car I'm buying was not tracked, though maybe it was. I don't care. It's unbelievably f*cking beautiful. Gave him a deposit on the spot and will pick it up tomorrow.

Thanks for piping in on all this you guys. I can't tell you how grateful I am to those that popped me messages and all that.

Congrats on the awesome car! I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with it. Probably the cleanest example on the market.

I had a similar goal to you when buying my .2 RS in that I wanted the cleanest car I could find in the spec I wanted. If the car had any imperfections or wear, I wanted it to be caused under my ownership as I plan to keep the car for a very long time if not till the day I die. Hopefully I will hand the car down to my son as my son loves the car as much as I do.
