My friend didn’t say. He talked with the salesman but didn’t get much info on it besides a couple of pics which I now see are up on the website.

This Speed Yellow car at BMW Encinatas was briefly mentioned, what is the BrainTrust's opinion?

Looks like it lived most of it's life in the "heartland".
If anyone is interested, may want to check with local race prep shops Vollig or Mirage.
it's 10 miles from me.
i'll ride over and take a look.

I like a white RS...this one is it Goldman BH. It has a damage report on carfax that dealer indicates was from a rat that had been nesting in the engine bay and chewed through wiring. Interesting.

Heck, one of these days I am hoping to see a "6"! Then perhaps i can justify the purchase to wifey. Clean higher mile private party .1 models with no track time trade in the low to high 7's. I don't know what dealers get.
The last 3 track rats I have looked have all sold in the very low 70's with 40k miles and a lot of track time. Not 40k worth, but at least 1/3 of life spent at the track.

yeah, she isn't going to be on board with getting a GT3 for track days unless it isn't too much more than the Cayman S it would replace. We both track it and she thinks the Cayman is fine (which it is, but it isn't a GT3). Spending $20k on the swap is probably OK: $30-40k and the cost/benefit ratio changes. There are a lot of things you can buy for 40 large.
