If you plan on buying an RS that will increase in value or be a collectible, then likely this is not the car for you.
I spoke with the dealer today. He told me he has a deposit and sale is pending. Been sitting there 6 months and as soon as I inquire it's unavailable.....Someone here must have beat me to the punch.

I've experienced several auto-resellers who, in the early timeframe of their ownership, they deem it acceptable to hold onto the car to help get people in the door, or keep it in their showcase to raise perception of their quality,...
... the tactic is that even if they do NOT have a deposit,.. they will tell you that they do.

lets take bets on whether fijibubba gets a call back in a weeks +/- time saying that the buyer backed out, and now he has the opportunity to own it.

... although now that I look at the rest of their inventory,.. they don't quite look like the shop that would need to do that.

.... but this one on the other hand.... https://www.amkoauto.com/auto/used-2...f-md/31524888/

Advantage Motorsports has a bunch of nice high end cars in there. Nice folks and accommodating. They treated me better than the Toyota dealership that wouldn't even let me test drive a car when I was looking to buy my 4runner baby hauler.

This Speed Yellow car at BMW Encinatas was briefly mentioned, what is the BrainTrust's opinion?

At first glance I see an aftermarket Intake, Grills, Cage...

Do we know why the "buyer" didn't pick up the yellow 997.1? I emailed BMW Encinitas asking for info if they had any service records on the car, or if a PPI had been done that they could provide.

Looks (again, "looks" ) like a fairly priced car!

I secretly hope there's something wrong with that car. Seeing the 997's starting with a starting # of 7 in the price hurts.

So I just spoke with a friend who is local and checked it out and apparently nearly all 30,000 of those miles were on the track... Not sure how valid that statement is but thought I would pass it along.

He still concluded that it was a nice car, regardless

If that's true, then that's one well enjoyed GT3 right there. About 250-300 track days. A beast.

Any PPI shop worth its salt would be able to confirm or deny that claim.

Because that's what a salesperson told him, or because he sees evidence in the car's physical condition?

Not if you're in the market to buy.

This is third hand knowledge coming to me... But the Track Mileage came from the Dealer's mouth, not sure if Salesperson or someone else involved... Or maybe they're an overzealous enthusiast and see a Roll Cage + GT3 and instantly think Track Rat.

Anyone interested should obviously have a PPI done, just passing along what I heard.

Holy hell, who has time to do 250-300 track days! That's like twice a month every single month for 13 years straight!
