Thanks a bunch Doug. Saved me at least the time I would have spent otherwise on this. It is not so much the car that has me running, not walking, away...its the lack of simple forthrightness on basic info requests.

My .02 cents worth. It may be worth the 90 mile (that's nothing) drive and a PPI. In this case you are really not buying the "dealer" as they are just a conduit. Yea, PCCB's may need to replaced but let's say the PPI checks out? You offer 163K and bam you have a low mile, loaded 7.2RS. IMO that would be under market value for those miles. Sometimes you have to make things happen to get the deal. Even in these Covid times a garage queen with those miles is going to bring 180 plus or more. Good luck!

You're better off finding a clean one at that price point anyway. You can get a tracked out one for <$150k all day long.

I think an otherwise clean 8xxx mile car could have been in the 170's before the sh*t hit the fan. Not now. And certainly not with shot PCCB's.

Except toasted rotors probably indicates hard track use, which likely means a toasted LSD, and could mean CLs need service, and would also warrant the gearbox checked out, and the variocam bolts, and the clutch......997.2 RS have some real expensive failure points that are exposed with heavy track use, and you could easily get into it $20k at the drop of a hat. 90% of that stuff does not get checked on a PPI, especially not by the average Porsche tech who is trained on a scanner to read codes on Cayennes and Boxsters (I'm overstating this, of course, to make a point. There are some great Porsche techs out there). I'm not saying don't take a closer look, but if the dealer is starting off by misleading you on the rotors, it may not be that easy to find out what you need in order to be comfortable on the purchase.
