My opinion is that the orange will break 130k. Love that seller though.
That's probably a good guess but given the current environment, canada car in cananda, so I'll go with 123 or I think someone is going to steal this one

Do a search on the PCCB's and the wear indicators. This has been discussed at great length, if you are hanging your hat on the indicators then I have some swamp land to sell you.

I think the undercarriage on the Orange RS is pretty rough for a car with only 16k miles and so uber nice everywhere else. I didn't see any oil droplets, but do see places where it looked like oil has leaked and burned on the case.

No need to poke digs at your fellow rennlisters.

Which BaT pics are showing these wear indicators?

I agree, the underside doesn't match the clean exterior and interior.

I don’t know hf1, was responding to the poster claiming the rotors we’re toast due to the indicators.

Sorry my point went over your head. I have several cars with PCCB I know how to property evaluate them for wear.

Pictures 67, 69 and 70 show the wear markers. Although that doesn't necessarily mean they are toast (lol), my experience has been that they are probably near the low limit. Picture 179 shows an oil drop between the engine and trans. As I write this it's at $133,600 with fees it's close to $140,000, hardly a bargain. And the car came from Canada but is being sold by a US dealer. The dealer likely bought that car for around a $100k US, he's going to make a tidy profit, more power to him. That's what an excellently written ad on BaT will do.

You're right, I should thank you. The thread "crappers" like you allowed me to steal a super nice, one of one 2011 pastel orange GT3 with 16k miles on BaT for $92k. Thanks again.

The BaT thread mentions this car https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds...s/2390288.html I checked it out as it appears to be a good deal. But then I found this:https://rennlist.com/forums/997-gt2-...-1-gt3-rs.html

It appears to be the same car, hit the wall at Mosport and was largely repainted and god knows what else. On top of that, the dealer is playing hide the weenie. I doubt if he accepts my offer of $85,000

One of the reasons it is so important that VIN's are posted on here for cars like this. Saves someone paying for a PPI or even worse, an entire car and being out the money.

Well that made it easy. For $140k I’ll just ‘suffer’ my 6gt3 a little longer.

LOL, you are a wise man.

YEP, apparently no deal on this one.

I'm obviously very surprised but hats off to those that know the current market.
