Maybe I just don't want to deal with changing it back.
I read your post. The personalized touches appear to be the wheels and painted console. Both very easy items to address. These PTS blue 997.2 GT3s don’t go on sale often. So if it’s something you really sought after, I would think you would be chomping at the bit to get one, even if it does have some minor things to change. Best of luck on your search!

You guys are getting as bad as the Ferrari crowd. The last day-ish worth of comments are cringe-worthy. It’s a GT car after all. Calipers/wheels/seats/consoles are so minuscule.

GT cars are all about the Cars&Coffee flex now.

I tow mine to all the events so that the mileage doesn't go up too much. And agree the blue car is a 2/10 would not drive. They probably don't even have the certificate of authenticity for it.

It doesn't even have FAL so you probably can't make it into the Cars and Coffee events anyway. Hard pass.

Did some of you guys check the cup holders? Make sure they work for running to Starbucks!

I’d drive that blue car the way it is, and take my time changing it.

Hell the 4.0RSish decals on my RS were more work to remove than the mods on the blue one.

The seats in the Riviera Blue GT3 have more miles on them than the car does. From my research the car had sport buckets in it at one point and the stock wheels were painted black. For me having sport buckets in it would be a plus, but the seats that are in it at the moment would have to go.

I was thinking the same, there are some buckets in marketplace I found and some trashed red wheels that could be re-powdered to the titanium, which would just leave the calipers, belts and steering wheel, pretty easy… I would take it back to full OE even the muffler.

But when it jumped past 190 already I realized it was going to crazy land and I should just watch

Already at $200k with fees while we quibble about cupholders and brake caliper paint. Just goes to show you that there are Rennlisters, and then there are actual buyers.

Just went back and checked, the highest public price paid for a .2 GT3 with over 10k miles was this white one for $210k with fees.

Leaving superficial things probably in some ways psychologically makes one think they can get a deal, esp since its presented poorly... dangerous position when bidding on BAT.

Its fun to watch PTS anything in the 997 even if I personally wouldn’t pay more for it, its crazy to me there are only 20 PTS 4.0 globally

this video was pretty telling when they had some premonition around the 997 value matching the older RS

Not saying it’s a bad car. The only things I would do is get a different set of wheels, a set of sport buckets (or a set of better condition sport seats with Alcantara inserts), and replace the hood emblem. Not things that one should turn down a good car. The things already done to the car I like or could put up with. Actually think the yellow calipers go better with the blue than the original reds. I’m not a Pcar **** and believe only cars with PCCB’s should have yellow calipers. BTW the Alcantara cupholders are correct for this car for those who aren’t aware. Option code CPE Trim Strip Switch Panel Alcantara. Also was able to find pictures of the car sitting on the showroom floor at Carlsen Porsche when new. Bet it sold for below MSRP as it was common in those days.
