Anyway, rambling now, but since I got the slicks, the car is so consistent from the second lap (1st lap warmup) to the very last lap, it's actually easier to drive. If you are sliding, oversteering, rotating, etc. you are doing something wrong because the tire gives huge grip and don't like to slide. When it does slide, it's pretty abrupt, so even intentional trail braking rotation doesn't really help. Tires don't get greasy either.

Does anyone know what car puked the oil in the paddock and the pit lane?[/QUOTE]
I was the red Spec Racer ford parked at the far end opposite from the media center. He left the remaining 4 quarts in the parking lot. What a mess!

Hoosiers are cool for setting down amazing lap times, but I still enjoy the thrill of keeping the car under control with the Nitto's. Hoosiers are a lot of fun and they make a great tire, but unless there is a trophy involved, I'd rather stay on R comps for DE's.
I still want to see video of the stock GTR doing 228's on stock tires!!!

Do I even need to mention the red/white rental SRF driving 50 mph all the way through the esses? I had a nice non-accusatory chat (hey, how can I help you see me?) with that guy the first day and realized that both oars were not in the water. No use rocking the boat when the captain isn't on board.

Yup. That turned out to be the trick. A couple of us in green had figured out the lap time pecking order and out lap warm-up cycle and would head to grid at ten minutes 'till. By the time the out lap was done, everyone was in correct order and you basically had the track to yourself for about 6-7 laps until you caught the back of the field. And then the shenanigans would start. A couple times I just gave up at that point as there was some really goofy stuff going on back there.

Could not get my car off the trailer when I got home though. Ramps were frozen in place. Had to put in garage to melt the water! Beauty of returning home to Wisconsin.
