Ah, a man "in the know!" Yes, for both the wife and I. My running joke is that paying off loans is my hobby! We were fortunate to consolidate them at 3.1% so no real rush to pay them off, but I'm trying to do the responsible thing and knock them off before buying my first 911. I did cave and put a deposit down on a Cayenne Diesel to replace our Q7 tow vehicle (put 100k miles on it since 2008, most of them towing).

Getting very excited for COTA, and to join you guys in GT3 ownership someday!

Just heard from Mark. He confirmed that COTA has informed him they are canceling the event. He did say he is exploring every possible option, but for right now, it doesn't look good....

Guys, apparently COTA hired Mr Scrooge to run their business and could care less about track enthusiasts like us and want to squeeze every penny from blue blood folks that can pay thousands of dollar a day to do circles there. Stay tune and if COTA don't reverse the course and get their head out of their *** and treat us with respect then we will boycott the damn track. They can get away with it for couple months until the novelty wears off then they will realize the country is still trying to crawl out of a recession and they need all the support they can get from EVERYBODY to keep it afloat.

Someone at COTA better pick up a business 101 text book and do some reading. You can't get any worst than this - canceling track events that's already agree on right before the holiday. Apparently they could care less about making on the naughty list

Since Mark already signed the contract and they are cancelling it, isn't that a breach of contract? Not an JD but I have the other .D so just wondering??

Wow, I really like the track, but if it's not readily accessible for regulars, I'm not interested. My interest was based purely on the fact that everyone would want to and be able to drive there creating a sort of unifying benchmark track for the country. If it's going to be one of those rarely ever open to public type deals, I'll pass. There are plenty of other great tracks to drive on.

Sooooooooooo, anyone up for the NARRA event two weeks later in College Station? I've already got my heart set on that one as well.
