Yeah, my instructing in a Audi AWD sedan in the rain really got me the wrong line.

We have too go back, WG is where we were the most off the pace, bet lap was like 2:09 / 2:10 I think...
At most other tracks we werer much less off the pace.

I have spoken to the track manager at TWS located in College Station Just an hour and a half from COTA. If we can get 15 cars that want to run on Thursday before COTA he will open the full track 100.00 each.

Great warm up session. Let me know I'll strt a thread "TWS Practice Before COTA" so people can let me know if they are interested.

Hi guys! My wife and I are towing out from Minnesota to come to this. Will be ogling all the pretty GT3s! We'll be in a silver S2000, I hope to not be too much of a rolling chicane! I'm in Yellow, so won't be with most of you.

Any guess what top speeds you'll be hitting at the end of the long straight? What's the GT3 track tire of choice? NT-01? MPSC?

Someday, when I finish paying off those student loans... $150k down, $30k to go!

It will be a good time. Top speed if the GT3's will be 160-ish. I'm bringing a couple sets if R6's. I know others are also bringing Hoosiers and some cayman drivers are bringing NT-01's. a couple of will be driving down from Des Moines.

Right on! How much rubber can you fit on a 997? I have a friend with a 996 GT3 cup car and he is always lamenting the lack of front tire.

Regardless, that's some serious firepower with the grip to match! It's great to see a group of Porsche enthusiasts that are serious about the driving! Will be great to watch!

Charles nothing wrong with an S2K it will definently hone your car control skills, in a good way, for when you move up to a PCar. HoHo are to Baller $$$ for this old guy NT01's $$ FTW.

Just traded my S2000 in on a tow vehicle so I could get my car to COTA in the middle of winter. Will miss it. The tradeoffs we have to make. Look forward to seeing you in Austin.

Yeah, but S2K suck in the winter so you did the right thing. :thumb up: Once the travel to other track bug bites, life is never the same after. It is much more FUNNER 21 tracks and counting.

Finally starting down the multiple track slope. Have been wanting to do this for a long time. Got to try and start catching up with you. Might even have to try and become a lap puppy in the next few years.
