Those must be some cheater Cayman's...LOL....what mods and how much gutting in those Cayman's?

I agree with the 48hrs Slowfest....I'd like to go but hear nothing good about the DE part of the event. Also funny how local guys with 1000's of miles at Sebring like me can't get in but guys that have never driven Sebring can come from across the country and get in....PCA Slowcoast is suppose to regulate this event to very experienced Sebring drivers too.....oh well I take my money elsewhere now.

Proof that it is possible to single-handedly drag a GT3 forum down to the level of kids and their E36 M3s.

Mike I really enjoyed 48 hours DE this year. I was at the head of the pack in the slower group and was able to run several clear laps before lapping the slower drivers. I didn't have to worry about slowing down those GT3 DE Cup guys and actually had the ego boost of being able to stay ahead of several GT3's driven by people that obviously didn't know the track as well as some of our local GT3 hot shoes. The big problem was so much sitting around due to DE playing second fiddle to the racers.

Modified Cayman (highly modified) vs. my bone stock one. Hoosier vs. RE11. 2:27 vs 2:33.

Currently, my Cayman is in similar level of modifications as Alejo's car so it should be a close now.

...but the Cayman Challenge is for another day, that would be next before Cayman sells.

This challenge is for Aero Beetles. Are you in or are you out? what about your Aero Beetle friends? are they in or are they out? Do you have support or is it going to be another sole Aero Beetle defender, because all the others chickened out at the Sebring autocross?

Your 4.0RS is TTU legal, let's do it. You do the driving, no ringers, at the end of the day, this thing started by Aero Beetle owners questioning Fiat reliability and criticizing what I already know about my driving skills: slow, inconsistent, unpredictable.

PLACE: Sebring March 31 and April 1st

Club: NASA Florida (great group)

Run Group: TTU. Open passing, no point by, safe passing enforced

RULES: NASA TTU rules except tires. Tires: Hoosier R6. No other tire allowed. Register with Hoosier Tires for contingency. The top 2 places in TTU can get free tires per day, up to 4 tires won in a weekend.

Challenge 1: Best Lap on Saturday

Challenge 2: Best Lap on Sunday

Challenge 3: Break the NASA TTU record at Sebring

Challenge 4: Best average lap time in a session, using 7 laps. Measure one lap wonder vs. consistently fast.

Challenge 5: Less wrenching done, includes changing tires, brake pads, any mechanical work. The car that gets the most mechanical work done during the weekend, loses this challenge. Re-fueling does not count.

Challengers? Bets? we need bets to pay for the Trophy, need a name for the Trophy, suggestions?

26 days left.

Who's in?

Former e36 M3 owner here.

So, did your GT3 make you old? If so, congratulations, mine didn't do that to me.

Agree, you're too uptight if you don't allow yourself to act like a child every now and then. I do it all the time!

As long as we are Off Topic the Sebring NASA TTB record is held by an 04 Boxster 2:27.283 driven by Eric Armstrong. TTU record @ Sebring is 2:18.18 C5ZO6.

They would question why I'm using a Scuderia and not a 458 Italia or 599 GTO that are the most advanced cars ever built.

They would advise me to put the car on Race mode and let the car do the driving.

No thanks, sometimes no-support is better than some support.

The good news, the crisis of 2008 brought a way different type of Fiat owners, and the momentum hasn't stopped. Plenty of them are Porsche guys, others are former Porsche guys, I'm somewhere in the middle thanks to VW Group.
I was waiting for u to say that : ). Just didn't want to mention that since I'm not a fcar owner. Wished more fcar guys share the same drive as u. Mike

Eddie

Yep GT3RS is going to be TTU. The Sebring TTU record was set in 08 and the current group of NASA TTU drivers are not great. The TTA, TTB, TTC, and TTD records strong with good drivers and well prepped cars.

New tire contingency rules Hoosier will pay 2 tires for 1st place in class if there are 5 entrants in class and you are on Hoosiers must register with Hoosier before running. If 7 in class then 2nd gets 1 Hoosier. Hoosiers need to be purchased from Performance Tread the on site NASA FL Tire supplier
