Can't access Google Docs right this minute but didn't you dyno around 405 rwhp??

I had heard that car was a fully prepped barely legal TTS. Sub 2:00 at VIR is stupid fast. Like, I don't know how it is possible fast. Think 2:14's at sebring

Yup. With mark Mckay doing the pulls... It actually put out closer to 400whp. I don't know if I got a defective car, or if the car was too new when we dyno'd it. But consistent 396-400whp.

Wonder what my Carrera GTS would dyno and what NASA class I would be in?

Porsche crankshaft HP claimed 408hp. Car weight claimed 3200 dry.

Both D Popp and Wally ran sub 2.00s in TTS at VIR and Wally ran a 1.29 at Road Atlanta. The NASA mid atlantic region is FAST.

I think Wally also ran a 1.16 at Summit.

My best times are 1.19 at Summit and 2.05 at VIR but I also don't run A6s and have very little aero. The key is lots of aero, run on A6s and take full advantage of torque.

Fritz, 2:05's at VIR is nothing to sneeze at! That's real quick. IMO, sub 2:08 at VIR and you are in unique company. From what I have seen, most of the track record cars are fully prepped, fully optimized, fully built cars to the extent of the rules. I think it would be criminal to do that to an RS. Might as well get a cup car...

Mike,

Your car would be TTS probably. You do take a hit for the PDK but get points back for over 3300# race weight so it would balance out to right around the 8.7# per hp so a 3500 race weight would be allowed 402rwhp Do you have the corner weights on your car or do like I have done go to a truck stop or dump and get your car weighed with you in it.

Randy's S54 motors make power....gotta love those EPIC tunes. His C-mod is stupid fast.

Yep they are fully prepped race cars ( a cage alone is good for a second or 2) but again the real key is the aero and the torque. Basically with NASA because there's no torque limit you can build those big blocks up and tune for lots of torque and then up the weight, tire and HP which makes it really hard for a LW low torque car to compete, well at least that's my excuse because it sure as hell isn't the driver LOL.

Correct, those mods were installed in the 3 months after the last 2011 PCA event at Sebring. I got the Coxster back in January with all the upgrades, but haven't done an event yet, no autocross and no track either. My old wheels don't fit anymore with the new suspension.

It's got: Capristo headers, mufflers and sport cats (The $7k system), RSS control arms at all corners, PSS9 with a custom spring package that is vastly better than the stock PSS9 springs, rear RSS toe links, Porsche MotorSports oil separator, underdrive pulley, x51 oil pan and a softronic ecu upgrade.

Feel fine on the streets, and I like it better, but need to run it against the timer.

Jero,

Something is not right on that dyno chart. The 2010 GT3 RS revs to 8,500rpm, not 8,000 rpm, so it is not showing all the power range.

Additionally, the GT3 engine loosens up in the first 5,000 miles, and gets on the sweet spot from 10,000 miles and up. There are plenty of dynos posted on 3.8 RS and the range is in between 425-435whp with no ECU tuning, bone stock drivetrains.

The race weight is pretty high too, 3,420 lbs, this is supposed to be the minimum race weight (with an almost empty fuel tank). For reference, I'm listing my Fiat at 3,151 lbs, and my Fiat is not 300 lbs lighter than an Aero Beetle.

You'll need to do one or all of the suggestions I posted to make it fine for TTS, but you will be running Porsche 996/997 Turbo weight, and 2007 GT3 power, no chance for 1:34s with such setup, or 2:18s at Sebring either, no matter who drives.

8, that's all I get. 4 fast, 4 almost fast.

2 fast laps, then they are slower than R6. In winter time, they stay fast for many laps, but we don't get winter in Florida.

What's the time difference between A6 and R6? Thanks. Mike
