Yep I'm with you. And I think that Tiptronics were very dependable, correct? I think it's a really nice car.

A very clean speed yellow 996 GT3 just went for $63k on pcarmarket. High ticket flippers like Ryan Friedman gotta be sweating bullets right now.

31k on the odometer. Winning bid was $59,996 plus fees.

Would never sell my car on Pcarmarket. Virtually guarantees a low price, but your point is taken.

100% agree. Cars there either sell super low or don’t meet reserve.

This is the " 997s deals around the interwebz (no affiliation)" thread not the " Where/How to Sell 997s for Max Profit" thread

for $29,800 at a dealer. (I bought it already lol) but would you consider it a decent deal?
I would say that you did well.

775 mile 997.1 Turbo for sale. I thought it was a typo but checked carfax and it matches. What a time capsule and in a great spec too.

Sure! 2005 with paintwork and 55k C2S manual went RNM on BAT for $34XXX today. I don't know what the dealer was thinking: he has it for $46k on his website? Not going to happen. There was a car local to me this time last year, manual, 37,000 miles, private party, sport seats, full leather, sport exhaust, very clean, and he was selling for $37,500; he had it listed for 3 weeks when I drove it. It had evidence of early bore scoring and I passed, but I was the only person to have it scoped, as there is only 1 shop in my town that even knows what the heck bore scoring is, and that was a year ago. Prices aren't any stronger now than they were then!

Looking back, I could have rolled the dice, but we found a club coupe with no bore scoring in gorgeous shape for $25k more. The club was worth it.

The dealer is All Things Porsche. Do a search here before you buy, you’ll have plenty of reading. Better yet, call them up and have a conversation with the owner. Between the pricing and the owner’s reputation, it’s no wonder their cars sit and sit.

I’ve dealt with him before and never had an issue. Anyway I was commenting on the car, not the dealer. I don’t think I’ve seen a 997.1 Turbo with less than 1k miles for sale since they were still in production. This is quite the unicorn.

No argument here, the car is gorgeous. He has several beautiful low-milage beauties. After doing my homework, there was no way I was moving forward with him but I'm glad to hear you had a good experience.

Do not do business with anyone at ALL THINGS PORSCHE! Help that jerk find another career.

What an a-hole. When I sold my 991.2 here, the owner or manager called me from a club, no less, either drunk or high, and told me that he wanted my car at $92,500, which was $1500 less than I was asking at the time. Sure, I said, no problem. He called me back the next day to confirm, would send a deposit via paypal and asked for me to take my ad down immediately, which I stupidly did.

Of course, after 4 days of hearing nothing, I got in touch with him, and he told me "sorry, enclosed shipping is going to be $2400, I can't find anyone, and we just can't afford that". I had no trouble calling Reliable and getting a quote for $1150 picked up in 2 days, of course.

He obviously had someone in Miami ready to buy the car and needed me to pull the ad so that they didn't realize it was nothing more than a no value-add flip. If he hadn't told me to pull my ad down, I wouldn't have been pissed, but it was a lot of work to re-list it. I hadn't saved the text and I had a lot of pictures to upload each time.
