I was just thinking that as well. Funny. I was never interested in convertibles at all until I bought one (it was a "compromise" for the GF ). Turns out I really enjoy it and i saved at least $5k! Great deal if you think you might be open to a Cab.

I saw it on their showroom floor a few weeks ago. They claimed it was never tracked, but this is the same place that told me the blue 2011 GTS had not been smoked in, but I am confident it had been. Inside the GT3 was so mint it smelled new. I didn't drive the GT3 -- this to me is a track car, not one I would drive around town. It has maybe 3.3 inches of ground clearance...I can't speak for the price, but the car was in great shape.

I need a sanity check and feel like this is the right thread to ask the question.
I've been shopping for my first Porsche for a month or two now. Have toyed with a 997.1tt but keep coming back to a 997.2 C2S 6MT Coupe.
The price ranges I am seeing are huge. $49k to $70k. Let's factor out any cars with ANY damage or accidents showing on CarFax, and any cars with over 65k miles.
I see some 60k miles examples offered at $49k.
I see some deals on nice 30k to 50k mile cars going for mid $50k (and very rarely low $50k), but also some of those all the way up to $68k. Most of the higher priced ones are at specialty dealers who appear to sit on the cars for many months, but when I contact them, they claim the car "sold for asking price" yet it's still listed on their website and all the car shopping sites.
So it's been tough to arrive at a fair market valuation. For a good color combination, without any really rare or unique options, it feels like $55k for a car with 30k-40k miles is about right for a "decent" deal. Would you agree or do you think it could be found for less with a little more patience, or is that price too low? Would you say $60k for a car with 30k miles is too much?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. I've been looking at that, and it at least seems to be based more on the current market in terms of what is selling and what isn't, vs Kelly Blue Book which I wish was correct because it reports values $10k too low from what I've seen.

Your requirements (C2S manual with 30K) seem to be in short supply, so you are going to have to pay. You may do better with a 991.

Not sure what it has become now, but back then it was a very high end place and the owner was a perfectionist. I assume their standards are the same. It was where you took your Ferrari to be painted before they did their work inhouse.

2009 911 in NH
Has anyone looked at this car? Any comments? https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/l-Used...ting=218613841
What is your take on the paint? It's original, but they shot another coat onto those surfaces that were not perfect and then clear coated it? Then it's not original right? Why aren't the paint readings thicker then?
