I lucked out and found a nice one for $50k but I snatched it up the same day it was listed. Two owner car with under 50k miles, perfect maintenance history and a completely clean CarFax. You do see deals like this but they are very rare and you have to move really fast. I missed out on a red one with 40k miles for $52k because i didn't move fast enough.

Greetings, I've been searching for the last few months. I test drived this vehicle yesterday and it was excellent. Due to the report, the frame C pillar was previously damaged. There will be alignment issues, so it was too good to be true.

CarGurus usually (or always, I forget which) uses AutoCheck. I've used Carfax for every car I seriously considered and I found many, many cars that said no accidents on AutoCheck buy showed accidents or damage reported on CarFax. A clean CarFax doesn't necessarily mean the car wasn't in an accident, but its far safer than AutoCheck! Always run the car fax. It's worth the money.

Regardless, $46.5k is a solid deal on a cab. Congrats

I was pretty damn happy with it! I've driven it almost 1,000 miles since it was delivered 8/31 and I was out of town for a week this month. I still don't feel like I've driven it enough.
Discount on the cabs seems to be $3-5k so I'd say $50k for a coupe is in the same "deal" ballpark. Now, you can enjoy driving around in a Porsche that you know won't be dropping in value at anywhere near the rate of a new $50k vehicle.

I need a sanity check and feel like this is the right thread to ask the question.
I've been shopping for my first Porsche for a month or two now. Have toyed with a 997.1tt but keep coming back to a 997.2 C2S 6MT Coupe.
The price ranges I am seeing are huge. $49k to $70k. Let's factor out any cars with ANY damage or accidents showing on CarFax, and any cars with over 65k miles.
I see some 60k miles examples offered at $49k.
I see some deals on nice 30k to 50k mile cars going for mid $50k (and very rarely low $50k), but also some of those all the way up to $68k. Most of the higher priced ones are at specialty dealers who appear to sit on the cars for many months, but when I contact them, they claim the car "sold for asking price" yet it's still listed on their website and all the car shopping sites.
So it's been tough to arrive at a fair market valuation. For a good color combination, without any really rare or unique options, it feels like $55k for a car with 30k-40k miles is about right for a "decent" deal. Would you agree or do you think it could be found for less with a little more patience, or is that price too low? Would you say $60k for a car with 30k miles is too much?
Thanks in advance.
