I promised Doug I'd post this when I had a chance, so I've documented the steps that work for me to enable Coding on my 2005 997.1 C2S in the attached PDF document.
The connection portion is sound, but if anyone who reads this knows what more I need to do to enable the functionality of the Comfort Window up/down with key-fob buttons, please let me know.
Next time I hook up the Durametric to the Car, I'll try to grab the screenshots for the Side Markers as Turn Signal change as well.

Played with the Coding via Durametric again today and now have Convenience Window Up Working. With the windows down and the car unlocked, holding the lock button on the remote (key) causes both windows to ascend and then releasing the button locks the vehicle. Found another entry in Durametric Coding that I had to change - "Comfort Radio Remote" (which must refer to the radio frequency from the key not the vehicle radio) needs to be Active under the "Alarm" Module. See the top half of the attached PDF. For some reason, even though the settings are the same for "Down", holding the button to unlock the car does not lower the windows - still trying to figure that one out. If you also want to link the sunroof and windows to open and/or close, just select the option "Comfort Function Roof & Windows" as Active and make "Comfort Function Windows" Inactive. I've not personally tried this as I don't necessarily want my roof opening and closing all the time (sometimes in the summer I leave my roof open but close the windows, etc) but am assuming that's how it works.
Also, took a screenshot of the Side Markers as Blinkers Change I had done previously, which is the bottom half of the attached PDF. That's in the "Front" module.

Also, FYI, I noticed there is a newer version of the Durametric software available on their site - v6.3.1.4. I believe it adds support for some of the newer models.

I just looked at the webside on Durametric and it made me even more confused.
"Differences
There are two main differences between the Enthusiast and Professional Kits:
1.The number of cars supported:
The Professional kits support an unlimited number of cars. The Enthusiast kits support up to three cars only. The limitation of the Enthusiast kit is based on the car's VIN - not model.
2.The Coding and Command Console features:
Beginning with Durametric version 6, Durametric supports the Coding and Command Console features. These features are included with the Professional kits only.
The Coding feature provides for the ability to enable or disable predefined features in the car such as airbags, daytime running lights, cruise control, and the rear spoiler where applicable.
The Command Console "
My take away from this is the Enthusiast is worthless. You cannot change any coding features ie. airbags, daytime running lights, etc with the enthusiast. Esentially it is only good for resetting service intervals?
Am I correct?

I've noticed that my full lighting system is on upon starting the car.
Although great for visibility, I'd prefer to disable this.
Do I need the Durametric cable for this, or can this be set through PCM?

I notice you're from Canada. I believe you have to run full-time DRLs and the factory setup for these is to use the Headlights. The only way to enable different lights to use as DRLs, like maybe some LED Foglights would be to turn off the factory DRLs (may need Durametric for this since it's probably mandated in Canada and not changeable using PCM) and install a current sensing DRL module that enables a circuit when you turn on the ignitiion. These are made to work with LED lights only so you may have to change your front lights to the updated LED look or you could wire-up an SPDT Relay that would activate your front fog lights (for example). Do a search for my posts and you'll get a lot of information on how I hooked up LEDs this way, which may be helpful if you want to hook up non-LEDs too. Let me know if I can help answer any questions.

The US 2006 C2S with sport chrono has the option to turn the DRL on or off. As said above, this option is not available to turn off in Canada. The Durametric tool should be able to allow you to regain the function.
The easiest DRL hack I have found is

I bet you could get an indie to turn off the DRL.
