Duramatric Programming

it's too bad that most of these setting are not at all intuitive- as someone said in earlier post, a guide would certainly be helpful. Interesting that settings to perform similar functions are different on various 997.1 cars.

Well, I'm hoping my other thread, https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...metric-qs.html will have a few more contributions and really start to get a handle on all the options.

Hi gentlemen,
I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering if anyone had had any success getting the convertible top to open and close via the key remote? It's clearly an option ("Comfort function soft top") but I've search all the various boards and haven't seen anyone who's actually done it.

Yeah, horn beep on locking would be nice. I know all of these things are possible, b/c this exists:

But I have access to a durametric pro, so I'd prefer to just code it myself.

That will cause the car to chirp when you lock it.
I thought you could program this with the Dura, if not, maybe the next time you are at your dealer, ask them to do it with their system.
Personally, I would rather just watch for the light blinks.

Not on the 997 center console. The center console on 996 was lockable so if you left it open you would get a fault honk on locking. Yes on the glove box though. The door locking mechanism is so loud I can hear as I lock and walk away so I listen for that and also the lights.

I just bought the enthusiast kit and am expecting the cable today. I bought it to turn off the airbag light. It trips when I put in my track seat. I just want to be able to trip it back when I put in the stock seat between events.

Should be able to clear the warning. But if you want to disable it so it does not light up and/or you have the seat belt chime issue with track seats then you will need the pro version to modify the coding in a couple modules - airbag, gateway, maybe instrument cluster too. It's been a while since I last did it so Instrument Cluster may not be needed.
