Not sure. Just give them a call. Scott is the main dude. They’re vintage/classic Porsche specialists. They had a very impressive row of about 20 911s lined up outside.

Forgot to mention …. They’re fast too. I dropped my car off on a Wednesday. Had it back Friday.

LNE has the dual row on sale for 550, not the full IMS solution kit but there's a lot of money being thrown at parts that may not need it.
A quick check of current prices I came up with:
Clutch kit $500
Water pump $200
LN T-stat $140
Belt $30
Plugs/Coils (kit) $300

All-in for parts at $1700 ish with another $100 for fluids/supplies and the rest is labor costs.

Edit: forgot another $20-30 for the rear main seal

Yeah, the parts prices I'm paying are way over that. $1,900 for the IMS Solutions (I'm doing the permanent solution), $850 for the clutch kit, $925 for the flywheel, $375 for the water pump, $90 for the thermostat. I don't think they're ordering from Pelican. I think they're buying locally from the Porsche dealer except for the LN stuff.

@spessx I just did a quick search on FCP Euro, my go-to for parts since I do my own wrenching and their parts come with a lifetime guarantee.

$436 to replace the clutch??; I realize they were already in there but what parts are they using and what is their hourly labor rate? When I need a clutch, water pump, AOS I will take the 2.5 hour trip there and make it a stayover if he's that reasonable.

Life- time replacement means nothing unless the labor to replace is included with it -- see that video recently posted of parts DOA out of the box, or shortly after install. I just paid $2350(NJ tax incl) for, new (not remfg) Bosch alternator, accessory belt and Bosch battery; I know I could've done it for half that , but it was done timely, no headaches or time on my part

That was just the parts for the clutch, not labor. Labor alone for all of the stuff done on my car was $2,184.00.

This shop also doesn't recommend the IMS Solution, just the serviceable LN replacement bearing. I've heard that elsewhere too, although it's debatable.The theory is that it's not wise to just forget about the IMS bearing with the "Solution," but that it needs to be checked/replaced every 6 years or 75K miles once the new bearing has been installed.

The IMS Solution is essentially the same bearing design that's in the Mezger engines of the GTs and turbos. Have you ever, I mean ever, heard of an IMS failure in one of these engines and there are 996 and 997 turbos with hundreds of thousands of miles on them.

That's poor advice and a poor decision from that shop - I guess their business plan is annuity service revenue every 60-75k miles to go in and replace the bearing again when a permanent solution is available.

I respect that and it’s certainly one way to look at it, but I went with the advice of a shop hat has worked on thousands of 911s for more than 40 years. Also, if it’s such a no-brainer, why does LN Engineering even offer the serviceable part?

Because it was created first, is less expensive, and some people may not be long term 997 owners where they want to have a fix for their ownership period of a few years and let the next owner worry about replacing it at the mileage interval.

Giving Leatherique another try. Tried it in the past on my old e46 M3 and wasn’t impressed. May have been “operator error”.

Oil change using Motul x-cess and ceratec. And replaced drive belt. Spent time cleaning up each pulley with a scotch-brite pad before installing new belt.

I changed my engine mounts. The old ones looked like they were an inch taller when out of the car. My exhaust (all stock) still seems like it sits lower than I’d expect. I used Hamburg Technic mounts. The whole car feels more solid though.
