Installed the "peace of mind module". It provides 4 years or 48000 miles of protection and adds lightness to the drivers posterior pocket region. As a bonus, I received a free ppi (post purchase inspection) and all is still well.

replaced my aging 997.1 key shell with a 997.2. What a difference. Feels heavier and studier. The buttons are much better also. I won't have to wonder if I actually locked the door. I used to double check all the time.

This is a cheap and easy mod that makes a significant difference.

One tip - when trying to pry out the transponder pour some nail polish remover and the transponder just comes out. Didn't find that out until AFTER I tried to pry it by force and destroyed the original key shell.

Also there is apparently only one seller on ebay selling those for $60. I offered $45 (best offer option) and they accepted it (so don't pay $60)

I drove my 997 to the local Porsche dealer and drove the new Macan S. Get ready Porschephiles, this is a fine machine!

Drove my 997.2 TT up the main Malaysian highway and was chased by the cops going at 230km/h. Pulled over eventually and paid the fine.
