If he is not, I am. Get the colored ones-they will pop with the red calipers, etc, only about $150. For the life of me i cant figure why people like the stenciled black ones. Sorry, just my op...fwiw

May have come from the "Obsessive Compulsive" department which I also am a tormented member of - the pointed tip of the crests are often commented on as being properly positioned when they point directly to the respective tire valve stem.
My guess is that the throngs of people viewing your car that would see / recognize that would amount to about 1/1,000,000th of the living population of the US.
Please feel 100% free to carry on in blissful unbothered wheel crest chaos.
@ironman88 I was wondering if it had to do with the orientation. I try to reframe from being overly **** with my car. If I was racing with a crew it would be another story.
Interesting; What an odd thing to be scarred over.
That's how I bought the car and honestly I prefer it to the colored crests for my black car. Thank you for explaining though.
FWIW I have both sets. The gold crest and the silver. I like them equally.
Changed out the shifter for ICI aluminum 3 ring shifter.
The head unit was also swapped out for a Pioneer unit with wireless Apple carplay... I did not do that, I had it professionally done.
@93Jaffe Hi Mate!
I'm fine with the monochrome caps, but call me silly, I like to see the point of the crest to be directed at the valve, and cant look at a P car pic without checking.
A story on the subject. https://jalopnik.com/porsche-has-a-v...-th-1838539888
As an aside, I'm als a cyclist, so there is an extensive list of "requirements" for submitting a "Lean" photo of a bike, that we all subscribe to:
1. No meatbags (people), because its all about the bike.
2. Chain to be on the big ring.
3. Bike to be arranged "drive side out"
4. crank/pedals thoughtfully orientated to accentuate the powerful lines of the bike, or matched to a feature of the landscape.
5. tyre valves, both aligned at the top or bottom.
6. submitted with a "witty pun" about the scene.

looks good. I also have the ICI
shifter but i cut it down and lifted the boot up as i like the more 'stubby' look. Note: my climate control buttons have been replaced and console cleaned since the pic.

Wow, that looks sharp! I really like the feel of the shifter, much better than stock..I may have to consider that...how did you cut it down?

Good old sawzall with metal cutting blade, wrapped in towel, in a vise. Also, pulling up the boot helps as well, as it has a lot (too much) of extra leather, but you have to file down the plastic lock ring insert a bit to pull it up without twisting the seams. Then it is held up by friction. You can still return it to the stock shifter using the lock ring (haven't tried it, but don't see why not). Didn't touch the shifter shaft, initially was going to cut that down but decided not to, happy with it like this.
Busy maintenance week for me; serpentine belt, spark plugs and coils, water pump and thermostat... Hopefully made those jobs easier for future self by replacing all the exhaust nuts and bolts with stainless
