While wearing this thing I was able to finally drive my car without any pain pushing the clutch for the first time in 3 weeks after an enduro riding accident turned my foot nearly 180deg around.
Replaced cabin filter. Then did my first oil change. It is too easy to do an oil change without even using a Jack on this car. I wished Fumoto valves didn't stick out so much since that would be even easier.
Yesterday I drove my 911 to a Chevy dealer to put my name in on a C8 since I get the GM supplier discount. They had a C7 Grand Sport on the lot so I walked up to it first. Got the immediate attention I expected. "Are you looking to buy today?" Told him why I was here. We talked for a while and he mentioned people are buying up the C7s as a DD because the C8 will not really be a DD. "Imagine taking that car around town?" and also discussed the unknown riding comfort. While talking, my 911 was gathering a group of other Chevy guys. Once done with the C7-8 conversation I went back to my beauty and for the next 15 minutes had multiple questions and comments on the 911, "Yeah, I used to have a Turbo and gave it to my son at college", What year is this? Are you going to trade it? kept going so much that other prospects that came on the lot were ignored. I thanked them, got in drove off and by the way did not put my name in.

That's a weird comment on DDing the C7. If you are willing to DD a C7 I don't see why you wouldn't DD a C8. The Vette, regardless of generation, is not a good DD car.

A C7 has to be the most difficult new car in the world to sell right now. They're coming up with any strategy they can.
new sway bar bushings/links, tried Race Ramps wheel cribs
Installed new bushings and drop links on my rear sway bar. At the same time, I tried using Race Ramps adjustable wheel cribs instead of the usual wood blocks. I like them. I got the pair of 10 inch adjustable cribs
, which you can also use as four 5 inch cribs. One 5 inch crib is a good complement to low profile Jackpoint jack stands so that your car is close to level.
They are lightweight. Expensive for some foam/plastic, but I would recommend. I think if I didn't have to take the wheels off, I would prefer to use these over the jackpoints -- just quicker than aligning the jack stand.
There is just one under the front wheel in the pic (you can stack 2 up for 10").

Reason: typo
Changed the oil. Gosh, this is much more costly than my VW, what with sending off the oil sample and 8 quarts of DT-40. No debris in the pan or filter...and only 190K miles. Nice Clean Oily Filter
Ordered some 997.1S calipers for my 997.2 base. Now need to order some rotors and pads. Had to change the brakes anyway so figured it was now or never.
Depending on when things arrive I should have this knocked out in a couple of weeks and since the wheels are off I may as well do my winter wheel/tire swap too.
